I just wish these fans don’t turn everything toxic. It’s their fault that the actors end up suffering so much. It’s already a stretch for the Chinese govt bcoz BL is not legal in China yet. With all this out of the box imagination and virtual rioting, these fans only end up harming their own idol and the other actors too, in the process. It was Yanxi Palace that got me hooked on Asian dramas. I was so tired of western tv and movies I began to watch foreign shows and found Yanxi Palace. I loved it. I liked the idea that they took seriously all the crazy medicinal “knowledge” of that time as if it were true. Some of the weird things they believed was entertaining and played it as if it were true science. The other drama I loved was Royal Feast. Great show as well.
