Hard part is front bolts and brackets. I also added heavy duty cross member. Unfortunately cross member did not have nut access to install skid. Ended drilling holes on cross bigger and pounding flange nuts in and welding them. Once complete with that skid instslled fairly easy with the exception of front brackets because my hands are too big.

Where was that Jeep restaurant at? What’s the name?

Cheap factory skid plate ??? If you would be a mechanical or structural engineer, you could see at first glance that it is well designed to the weight and capabilities of that jeep. To mount another 50-60 lbs of low grade rolled steel is a waste of time, metal and fuel.

What is that first and third trail? I know the second is the twins. This is our local spot so we spend a good amount of time to there

Trial an error is right. Still figuring out the front brackets that does not get in the way of the up travel of the front diff. Lame directions to say the least.

I bought one of these used from a wreck but it was just the winch, no solenoid, wires, fairlead roller or remote. Do I have to buy the expense Smitty solenoid or are there cheaper options?
