The closeups were very informative. Towards the higher DPI's, you caught some of the grids line start/stop edges which it was easier to see the line interval. I just did finish a similar test with my Commarker B4/30 fiber. For my particular setup, engraving works very well using 3mm black acrylic.... 2500mm/sec - 60%pwr - 60khz - 1000DPI - crosshatch-NOT bidirectional - one pass.... To cut the black acrylic to shape, my Longer B1/30 watt slices best at 90%pwr, 400mm/min, one pass, air assist ON.... The first testing that should be "mandatory" is a "Material Test" in Lightburn.... Especially where the speed/power settings will provide a "lightness" variance that occurs when engraving black acrylic....

I had to delete the old default file before calibration, because it could not overwrite the original and would say 7x7 in the bed mesh section of the interface otherwise? Very insightful and helpful video, stuck without it :)

Great instructional video! I am interested in how to prepare large drawing to be cut on large plywood sheet. It needs to be cut on X and Y axis. I only managed to find instruction on one axis. Actualy I would like to laser cut kayak parts from sheet of plywood with laser cutter that has working area of 600x600mm. I cannot grasp may head around this thing. If you do this kind of video, I am sure it will be the first on YT. 🙂

And if anybody has the B1, I have the B140 don’t make the same mistake I did and get frustrated. You can’t plug into the motor. The motor up top is for x motion. you need to plug in to the frame that’s where the Y motor plug-in is it should be in the left rear something none of the directions tell you that anywhere and when you call customer service, nobody speaks English

Hey man im trying to start a local business and i have this machine to start out and im using these cards. Im using Photoshop.. im trying to figure out: tye best settings in Photoshop to run on this machine, (settings from image-r etc, the fastest most efficient settings for black and white buisness cards, the correct dpi of this machine, the correct calibration and so on to print high resolution cards for people. Oh yeah, I'm also finding different information about the actual laser mm so I can focus it correctly. My goal is to run big batches with the frame extension kit they sell. Also, how do you reset the z axis if you accidentally bump it in light burn?
