I'm only 65% through the book, but you totally were able to put into words how I've been feeling about it so far. I knew I wasn't getting into it that well, and didn't quite know why. You nailed it.

You earned a subscriber on that review. There were so many missed opportunities in this book and I wanted it to be so much more.

Honestly, I loved the book. I think it’s my favorite. I feel like it gave us answers but also raised new questions-questions I can't ask now, so I won’t mention them here either. I think we discovered information that really changes a lot of things: what happened, how we saw it, and how we understood it. It opens up a lot of new doors to explore in the future. I also think it presents several mysteries that are very important-like, super important. Now, you don’t have to like the book, and that’s okay. Personally, I really enjoyed it. At first, I did find it a bit confusing-like, I wasn’t understanding anything. But then I took it a bit more calmly and started realizing, “Oh, okay, this is because of that,” and “This is happening because of this.” In the end, I loved the relationships, the emotional moments, and how the entire book keeps hinting that something is going to happen with this character-something is definitely going to happen. So yeah, I really liked how the story was developed and written. But of course, it’s all a matter of taste, and I get that some people might not like it. But for me, I did enjoy it a lot.

OMG, yes, I agree, and thinking, I felt so emotional about it because of my period. I loved the idea but felt unsatisfied and questioned so much. I know she's had some issues with delivering this book. Due to health reasons, the next book will be a while, which I am glad because we will get a lot of redemption and a series in between.

YES YES YES! I got a few! So the one that’s my favorite is Heaven Officials blessing HARDCOVERS books 1 and 2! Also got the 8th In special edition! I got Nightmare before kissmas, Given 1-3, toilet bound hanako-kun 7 and 8, the Husky and his white cat Shizun vol.7, remnants of filth 1 and 2, and assistant to the villain 1 and 2. All amazing books!

Last book was The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System and I loved it dearly! It was so funny and I have started the second one

For me, it was the Harry Potter series. I started it with my mom and never finished it. Everyone’s like “reread it! It’s so good!” But now that I’m reading romance, action, danmei, and manga it’s just not really for me anymore. I do believe the books are better but I’ve only watched the movies so I don’t really know

I was so looking forward to reading Ballad of Sword and Wine but I couldn’t get into it. And I still can’t. I don’t know if it’s bc I’m to young or if it’s not for me so I might save it for a later date

Peerless by Meng Xi Shi has been sitting on my shelf the day it came out. I thought I would get it since Thousand Autumns was so good!(made by the same author)but now, i don’t really know how to think of it. I’ve read so many other books and this one just doesn’t really fit in with my vibe(I am a big danmei reader so that isn’t the problem) I think this book has a lot more thought into it and a lot less romance and I’m not a huge fan of it. The storyline seems great but I don)t really think it’s for me. But, who know, I might pick it back up and find that I love it

ok newbie here. so from your description and reading the comments, you HAVE to read ACOTAR before CC. but you can read TOG after CC because the spoilers aren’t that bad? i’m just way more into the genre of CC, i like the modern world, heavier fantasy stuff over romance so i wanted to read CC totally first as my entry point but i guess that’s a bad idea. i’m actually cringing at the thought of romance books though uhg.

I'm going to say something that might get my cancelled...BUT i hated the romance in fourth wing it was unbelievable and rushed. There whole relationship just felt like pure lust and the times when they did have a heart to heart it was cut off by Violet drooling over him again. And when Violet confessed her "love" i remember that i couldn't help but roll my eyes. I mean my god Violet says several times she knows nothing about Xaden but all of sudden she loves him?? I still gave it 3 and half stars because i pretty much enjoyed everything else but i just found the romance so lack luster and superficial. In my opinion the romance could have been better with a slow burn. I think that's why i tend like slow burns more because they actually take time to develop the relationships so it doesn't come off as just pure lust. I have yet to read iron flame but after hearing what you said i might actually like it better😭
