Follow your gut. Paying off debt is important and would be one less thing for you to worry about. I moved away from home thinking it would be for a long time and came back 10 months later 😅 and I'm well into my 30s. Life is interesting and takes us where we need to be in different seasons.

its not a step back, you can move back to New York after a year. make a list of the pros and cons of staying in NY or moving back to your home for a year, and see which can have more pros. Also you will get to spend more time with your family if you move back.

Don't feel like a failure. Me and my family lost our home when I was 26. I was working in pharmacy and had many opportunities to leave, but I never did because I felt like it was my responsibility to care for my mother, yet it wasn't. I see that now. Don't attract that energy to yourself. I wish I could go back home, but i can't it's gone. Me and my family we're all separated, and I'm not close to them anymore since i had to relocate. If it's only for a year to save money or what not, it should be nice to be with your loved ones. Don't concern yourself with what others think since they're not in your shoes. Plus, time goes by fast when you have goals and a plan set in place 😊 we already in November, like where did the time go 😮

I don't think you should feel like a failure if you decide to go home for a year. You have to do what feels right in your heart. Anything can happen in a few months time and come March you could be earning more from YT which might make you feel more comfortable staying in New York. I live in Westchester so I totally understand what the cost of living is like here. Even with a "good job" it still feels hard to keep up with the cost of living each year. Stay positive! It'll work out the way it's supposed to!

You could always move back to New York after spending a year home 🤷🏽‍♀️ it’s not necessarily “a step back”, more so the NEXT step for you. Lots of people are moving back home for financial reasons, the cost of living is a uncertain thing in this country.

Get a screen to hide your WFH setup. Start going for more walks to see people and feel more 'connected' and sign up to a couple dance/whateveractivity classes. Collegues aren't all they're cracked up to be. Get an AI subscription and make that your colleague (keeping in line with your orgs data policies). Best colleague I've ever had.

KEEP WORKING FROM HOME. Trust me, I've been in your shoes. Don't ever sacrifice your mental health and stability for going to work in person. The commute money and buying food is going to eat up whatever raised you were offered. Plus, coworkers/managers can mess up your energy and workflow. Your UA-cam and brand is going to grow more and more, and once it does you won't even have to worry about this issue anymore. God bless!
