      If you mean skipping the egg carton and planting directly in a big plastic tub, yes, that works too! Just make sure it has drainage holes and enough space for the plants to grow.

    How to make sure insects or mosquitoes dont come near the microgreens when the lid is open?

    • @DinasGarden
      @DinasGarden 14 днів тому

      If you’re growing microgreens indoors, insects and mosquitoes are usually not a problem. But if needed, you can cover the container with a fine mesh and make sure there’s no standing water nearby.

  • @payalsinghal6429
    @payalsinghal6429 16 днів тому

    When you say put in sunny area, should it be in direct sunlight?

    • @DinasGarden
      @DinasGarden 14 днів тому

      Not necessarily. Microgreens do better with bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight. Direct sunlight can be too harsh and might dry them out. A spot with plenty of natural light but no harsh sun works best.

      Sure, you can plant them. Once they’ve developed small roots, you can transfer them to soil. Just make sure the conditions are right for the type of seed you’re planting (light, temperature, and soil).

    Very nice ideas. Would it be good to use a mix of chopped leaves and coco coir together?

    • @DinasGarden
      @DinasGarden 23 дні тому

      Mixing chopped leaves with coco coir works great! The leaves add nutrients as they break down, and the coco coir helps retain moisture. Just keep an eye on the moisture level since coco coir holds water well.

    Hi new subscriber here!! From Zone 9B. I agree with the first comment. I topped my Poblano peppers and left my Jalapeños alone last Spring. And it really did slow down the growth process for my Poblanos. The plant did in fact get bushy though. I hear from other gardeners/farmers that topping smaller pepper plants are better. Like Habaneros, Cayenne, Chile Pequín, and Jalapeños. So many other varieties I’m sure. But I love your channel. Happy Gardening season. 💚💚💚

    So are you saying that if we leave the root the celery will regrow? How can we harvest seeds for the next season?

    • @DinasGarden
      @DinasGarden Місяць тому

      Yes, celery can regrow from the base if you leave the root in the soil. As for seeds, you can let the plant flower and dry to harvest seeds for the next season. Good luck 💚

      @@DinasGarden Hmmm. I let my celery grow since May but it never flowered. How long does it usually take?

    • @DinasGarden
      @DinasGarden Місяць тому

      @@artstamper316 It’s possible that the temperature isn’t warm enough yet for your celery to flower. Celery tends to flower when exposed to warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours. If it’s still relatively cool where you are, that could be why it hasn’t flowered yet.
