Liking the extended format. It's clearly a very different world to the world cup guys on Laurie Taylor's Best of the Brits series! Pity you couldn't film inside the Fischer factory. Did they give these away skis & boots for free, as you're an official team racer? Or do Snowsport Scotland fund such? I'm guessing race skis & boots are pretty damned expensive, being a limited run, built to a better standard than recreational gear. And is the reason for having several pairs of the same category of ski due to differences in stiffness between each pair? Or just in the way you set each pair up, in terms of edge angle & base bevel, mounting point, base structuring, or temperature of wax? And is it normal to have the same boots for slalom and GS? I'd have thought slalom needed more rebound, and GS more stiffness. Either way, at 3 sizes too small, they sound like something you don't want to spend too much time in!

So many gates, with the tracks seemingly crossing each other, must be rather confusing! But no confusion on start technique; pushing off with both feet is surely quicker.

How large is your training and living team? Is it a close-knit group reserved for select racers, or are other ski racers welcome to join? I'd love to know the number of members and the roles each one plays within the team. If you are ok with sharing it ofc.

What a downer to have such weather when you've paid so much to be there. And if & when you do get to ski, it must be a total mare putting on stiff & tight fitting ski boots when they're cold at the top of the mountain.
