Great question. Overall, they both seem to be holding up well (the soles have not cracked, shoes have not come apart, no holes, etc). But my husband say that his Kiziks fit about the same after 2 years. His Skechers seem to have loosened up that it now gives him blisters, and because his Skechers do not have laces, he can’t tighten it. He wore both shoes every week, at least once a week, 10-12 hrs a day. For me, I don’t feel any discomfort from either. But I don’t wear either as often as he does.

Kiziks or Skechers Slip ins? How long did it last for you?

Hi! Which shoe brands/styles do you get 7.5 or 8? I wear 7.5 in Vivaia, but 8 with Rothy’s round and square toe, but 8.5 with most of their points. I also wear an 8 with Allbirds, all styles. I would reach out to Vivaia’s customer service; ask their return/exchange policy, so there’s a plan in case it doesn’t fit.

Hi, Usually wear a 7 1/2 in Sam Edelmans, just their flats, but their heels a 8. Vanelli brand flats a 8 1/2 because they are european. @@lyradominguez6672

Hi! I just followed what the website recommends. I hand-wash the insoles, but I don’t put it in the washing machine. But if you’ve been putting it in the washing machine, and there’s no problem, then even better!

@@lyradominguez6672 As no one else has answered- Amazon sells the reusable pads or some people sew their own. A wet bag is just a small waterproof bag like a cosmetics bag to carry the used pads until the girl gets home from school to wash them. Great shoeboxes! En mis cajitas (normalmente para niña) siempre pongo cuadernos(varios) para la escuela, un estuche con 8 lápices, 6 bolígrafos, 4 gomas de borrar, 3 sacapuntas, clips para papel y algunas gomitas de borrar pequeñas y divertidas, pegamento en barra y fixo. Pongo muchas pegatinas y un cuaderno para colorear(en realidad varios) folios de colores, una libretita, 12 lápices de colores, 12 ceras, marcadores, regla de 30 cm, un boli de purpurina o algo simpático, llaveros bonitos, mochila de cuerdas, neceser con 5 braguitas de 2 tallas diferentes, peine,espejo, toallitas, jabón, 3 cepillos de dientes, cortauñas, lima de uñas, clips y pasadores de pelo gomas para el pelo, bandana. Kit de costura pequeñito, tijeras. Pongo siempre una Barbie(tanto para niñas de 5 a 9 como para las más mayores) y algunas muñecas más pequeñas, un pequeño peluche, un tamgran,una cajita o bolsita con un colgante bonito y una pulsera, una camiseta bonita, una pequeña caja de música o un bolsito(lleno de más pegatinas, globos, polly poket, etc) Unas campanitas colgantes. Algún juego de cartas(Uno, parejas, familias, etc) y una cuerda de saltar. Una pequeñísima cajita de lata con algún "tesoro" dentro. Cabe todo aunque tardo un buen rato en organizar la caja. Tengo que poner un par de gomas fuertes para cerrarla bien. Ah, claro, y me olvidaba de la carta, postal o tarjeta para la niña. Compro muchas cosas en Amazon y otras en las rebajas a lo largo del año, porque voy comprando todo según van saliendo ofertas durante el año. Me pongo en el lugar de la niña y pienso ¿si fuera yo y no tuviera nada, qué me gustaría? De momento solo hago 4 o 6 cajas, espero ir haciéndolo más cada vez. Contando esto solo quiero que veáis cuanto se puede meter en una cajita, sobre todo si antes te has vaciado de ti, y dejas que el Espíritu Santo te sugiera lo que debes meter. Así, las cajitas las hacéis juntos y es una forma de bendecir a la niña destinataria. Que cada cosa sea amor. He visto mucho amor en tus cajas, gracias!

Hi, welcome! First, I’m sure my feet sweat, but I don’t notice. Vivaia and Burudani are not stiff as Rothy’s, but not as stretchy as elastics. I’d say it’s in between. As of today, they don’t seem to advertise any of their shoes as “hands-free.” However, I did notice several HOKA shoes look similar to the heel shape (opening part) of the Skechers slip-ins. I don’t own any. Maybe I should try it.

You are so welcome! I have washed the Skechers slip-ins by now, and it’s fine. Also corrected in the description and subtitles that the insoles are removable, and sometimes, that’s all I wash.

I simply double tie my Kiziks so they can't come undone. Once I've adjusted the laces to a perfect fit, there's no reason to untie them. Cool thing is, you can tie/double tie your Kiziks when they're OFF you're feet. So if you have difficulty bending over...no problem!

(Plus I don't like the "fake" look - it's like wearing a clip-on tie!) My hands-free, no laces Skechers just slip on and are super comfortable and IMHO look sharp! No tongue and no laces.

@@utuber1000 To answer your question...I tightened the laces while on and did the pre tie loop, ...then simply slipped them off so I could face the shoe toward me and tie a nice even double bow. So they look nice all the time. They are regular shoe laces so there is nothing fake about them. Just no need to untie and tie them when taking off and putting on. Also the tongue is sewn in so it is minimized and doesn't move around like in a regular shoe.

If my hands could reach my feet, without either forcing myself into an excruciatingly painful position, or the help of another person, I really wouldn't be shopping for hands-free shoes.

the Skechers offer a shoe with elastic laces which are part of the shoe, I guess the idea is the look ?

My same thoughts about lace-ups. I like it a little more snug so they don’t fly off my feet when playing with the kids.

Even the Skechers shoes I featured here didn’t have a WIDE until after I uploaded this video; I recently added that link in my description.

That’s a good point. Unless they have new ones that I’m unaware of, Skechers slip-ins insoles are not removable. In this case, my husband says he goes a size up so there’s room for his orthotics insoles.

Amazing: I’m constantly amazed at how much our feet affects and is affected by different body parts. In your case, comfy shoes help with arthritis in your knees.

Hi, Vanesa. In this video, the deep red and denim blue BURUDANI shoes are both machine washable. I have washed both. The black BURUDANI shoes are NOT recommended to be washed in the washing machine, as mentioned in the video. Not all shoes from BURUDANI or Vivaia are recommended to be washed in the washing machine. It will say online on each shoe description which ones are. ALL heels or open toe or open back shoes are NOT recommended to be washed in the washing machine. When in doubt, check the website and/or customer service. All shoes should NOT be put in the dryer.

Yes. they do now. As wide as they currently go up to EE. Wish they would expand to even wider like EEE or even EEEE. For that reason I am seriously considering the Sketchers Go Walk Slip Ins. I read somewhere that the Extra Wide size is considered EEE to EEEE. But it was not an official site. Hence my earlier question.

The Everlane flats are comfy enough; not the most comfy, but pretty good, even after wearing it for 9 straight hours. They can get sweaty, depending on the weather and how much walking I do. I’ve wiped the insoles more than once.

Yes. If there’s a next time, that’s what I’ll have to do, complete with calculations that is expected from a 3rd-grader. 😅
