Arnhem in Netherlands?
where is that store with tonewood?
@@leepek3575 www.af.nl/
@@wkmetaal thanks so much
beau travail passionnant ; mais heureusement qu'il y a de super machines , ça n'enlève rien à la réalisation. bravo
Pro piece of work!
You had me up until you used the scarf joint..👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻🥴🙄🫤😫😖🫣
Thanks for your comment. All turned out well, no problem.
@@wkmetaalyour work is really nice and your jigs are amazing ! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👊🏻
At least you didn't put "Gibson" on the headstock like so many clone builders do
This is tutorial very good . ❤
"A+" on the guitar "-F" on sound check.
jigs, measurement, calculations are 99999... even the binding, no light can escape... salute sir!
Respect...
I am certainly enjoying your work and this video…… but every time I see those feet in those sandals I cringe. Please wear some work boots at the very least
Yes, agreed next time,....
@@wkmetaal by the way the final result, Les Paul #3, was super gorgeous. Very impressive work and incredible patience. I just don't want to see you sustain an injury to your feet....yikes 🤪
Where is the store in Arnhem? Do they have a website? Thank you
wow! Jigs I've never seen before. Great job!
Those jigs kept me on the edge of my seat :) Craftsmanship and guitar building at its best, well done !!
4:10 what router are you using there? amazing work, thanks for sharing!
Could you please give me information on the truss rod nut access bore tool? Thank you and impeccable work.
Recreated this model from StewMac- Truss Rod Access Cutter
@@wkmetaal Thank you!
Great job! Wanted to ask Did you intentionally stray from 100% pure historic spec in certain areas on purpose? You did do the long neck tenon and true ABR1 post's but there are a few minor areas where you did not stay pure historic?
A big difference is, that I did not glued the wood with the original glue. (that they used then) No hide glue/ hot glue.
Wow, you are set up quite well for building Les Pauls. You could probably crank them out fairly efficiently at this point.
How you still have your fingers is beyond me.
Absolutely beautiful artwork !!
Does that wood store have a website?
when i watching Fletcher channel i really love that luthier. But i saw your channel is interesting for me. i love your work, detail, art and how you made the jig. sorry for my bad english.
Wow. Congrats. Nice Projekt :) I think the Fotos in the BoB Book are not so good. Way to orange
Prachtig geworden!!! 👍🎸
Dank je.
Wow, what is the name of that wood store in Arnhem?
Try this: www.af.nl
Great job it looks really cool, can I make one suggestion as a fellow guitar builder please get yourself a big router, that little battery powered thing is designed for finish work and you are a good enough builder to deserve a powerful router that you don't have to struggle so hard with!
Lol, youre absolute right.😅
Amazing work! Wow!
Gibson lawsuit in 3... 2...
That is not a joke. I build guitars too (formerly in Arnhem, the Netherlands, now in Spain. Aspe Guitars). During my first years I built several Gibson LP copies until I was visited at my stand during a guitar show by a lawyer from Gibson! They gave me a very serious last warning.
You can build any guitar that you like, as long as it’s for personal use. Just don’t put a Gibson logo on it. They can’t do anything. Gibson likes to try and scare people..
Look at all that wood Porn. Oh LORD!!!!!! Great work Sir.
You are by far the best luthier I’ve seen on UA-cam. I’m deeply impressed by your ability to create such a precise masterpiece without using equipment like CNC machines. Thank you for sharing an amazing guitar build video!
Thank you for youre nice comment
What kind of brush is that how do you clean it?
I don't do it.
It is a les paul because it is definitely not a stratocaster , and it wasn't made by gibson ., but its spect as a les Paul
I love to see people use the proper truss rod when making a les Paul style guitar
The amount of detail and precision is impressive to say the least. Mindfulness of every aspect is essential for quality at this caliber. Awesome build. Much respect…
Thanks for the nice comment
How much does the wood cost? Like the big long piece you cut first up?
That was a €151,- piece flamed maple.
@@wkmetaal NOT CHEAP!!!!
Fantastisch mooie gitaar... Fret nibs en het zou helemaal geweldig zijn .... Top man!!
Dank voor je reactie. Fret nibs lijken idd zeer fraai.
Amazing build and very inspiring! Cheers from Sweden!
Top gitaar, top video! Petje af hoor!
Stunning!
vakmanschap is meesterschap!!!!.
That's not a Les Paul. It's a fake video.
Thank you for the comment.
@@wkmetaal Any time, mate.
Dont tell little bruh but the youtube is full of people making their own les paul
Hoi! Ik word getipt door mijn collega bij COA voor jouw gitaren. Ziet er geweldig uit. Kan ik hem komen bespelen?
Bedankt voor je reactie, via je collega kunnen we wel wat regelen. Mag ze alle drie uitproberen.
It was an interesting video, something to pass the time while I’m at work, but I did notice one thing …whatever router you have under that router table. It is severely underpowered that thing sounds like it’s dying just some constructive criticism I wouldn’t go with anything less than 3 hp.
Sound video 👎
That's a lot of filing on the neck. I thought you would have a clever little jig for this too, anyway, I enjoyed the video. I'm amazed by your tonewood inventory, it's like a candy shop.
Thank you for your response. Filing the guitar neck gives me a bit more the feeling that I manually make a guitar
Thanks for sharing, I'm about to begin a LP build but with some different approaches. I was surprised with the binding in the lower cutaway that you didn't reduce the wood height there manually with a carve so the maple didn't show under the binding. I'm very impressed with your use of your own created jigs and techniques. Very clever thinking throughout this whole video!
You're absolutely right about that. This applies only to the guitars made between 1952 through 1960. ( source reference: book " The beauty of the burst") with this build guitar, I kept the dimensions of Les Paul's 1959. The donut ring you see in the video provides the lift up
@@wkmetaal Thanks for taking the time to reply, I genuinely didn't know that about the year difference. That's my evenings reading sorted!
Your work is truly admirable, like a piece of art. I’d like to ask you a question: which template did you use? Did you purchase it from StewMac? Also, where did you get or download the paper that was on the benxh? I’m planning to do some research on Les Paul as well, so I wanted to ask you for this information. Many thanks!
I have the templates from Germany (guitabou.de). The drawing (plan) from Bartlett guitar parts.
Extremely nice!!! ❤
Stunning guitar! I know that it represents an incredible amount of effort and attention. If it plays and sounds half as good as it looks, it is a killer! Congratulations 🍾
Thanks for the comment, yes it is a killer.
I like the mojo tone 59 too and have put them in my build, they sound wonderful and are quite affordable.
Thank you for your comment, and yes these sound very good, am happy with it.
Weer een mooi stukje vakwerk
Dank je, Arno.
