Fitted Face Mask for Glasses (Fast video version)
This is amazing!! Well done!
Thank you soooo much for this informative video!! I really appreciate it so much and want to make one of my dog!
Is there a second video what happens when the cement hardens?
WOW what a little cutie, the little dog looks so gorgeous, and you made him or her perfectly, in fact I've ordered a needle felting storage bag set, to do soaps and other crafts with it, I'm a beginner, but needle felted soap before, this portrait is outstanding❤
Once you understand how the wool is attached with the poking it is much the same as painting; often working with the dark first and highlights on top. Good luck!
Wow…lovely
You are a fabulous felter
Do you leave some of the strands not felted to look like fur
I have that
The 7 needle at once tool- does it have a special name?
It's a Multi Needle Felting tool (www.amazon.com/Needle-Felting-Needles-Stitch-Punch/dp/B0854CW15X/ref=sr_1_6?crid=2M14Y52KKMARL&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.slakm2X5lPZVrT5xUooMBOWeoAlrxbk9IJlE1PSEJVVzIdqStCs3JNB5_7sq-VThJv6ez-upwD8v7eQ-FNK-crKqo-XL4Xg3l9n7CeYJ27bnVEGI0w9jMkyL3f4fDm0itGq5rLAh_oKApjjHAWC7tHic2KGnXM1h9sC1iZt8hMPNIhXpcQyQ-SQ8Z-ItuAVwfTiOJijYI3podr8GW4oueb9qrdx6BLXoMVgRDeKantWn0gsdKXBv6qh8CL9Hbu5xG904hws6vpQanhulvHsRPOVpn5zERf1ut7WcI-WLOnI.4KQkt7mFzwC9IUDsypndP03nzpistyL4sEuC8ddCbIU&dib_tag=se&keywords=multi+needle+felting+tool&qid=1709428988&sprefix=multi+needle+%2Caps%2C144&sr=8-6)
DONDE HABRA CURSOS EN MEXICO Y ME GUSTARIA TOMARLOS GRACIAS
Could you iron a stabilizer on the back of a thinner felt sheet? I’m on a fixed income so always looking for less expensive ways of doing everything. Love your work.
I would think stabilizer is fairly expensive. I'm cautious as it may become stuck in the barbs of the needle. If you have it already maybe you should do a small test. You can use a piece of linen , even from a vintage napkin
This is extremely helpful! So much information! Thank you so much, beautiful job!
Thanks so much! There's a lot of tutorials with videos on my site! www.madebybarb.com
Quanta precisão ❤

EXCELLENT! Just what I needed.
I learned quite a bit from watching your video, Thank you..May I ask,,How many colors do you use for the fur in a Black & White dog?? Including the reflections. I'm Fascinated !
Wow . Wunderschön ❤
Beautiful work. Do you sell them
Thanks for the tutorial!🤗Could you share the approximate zipper size needed please? Don't want to waste $!😉
Well, I've used up ones taken from old jeans and can range in about the 6" size. More can be cut off. The more curved also needs a bit of extra length. Good luck, make sure to use the right mix...
beautifulll
This is so gorgeous! I’m inspired to try! Thank you!
Barb, is the carrier dry when you use it, or must it be freshly dyed and moist? Can you dry/save a carrier on o use again?
It may look dry but it is flannel fabric that is wrung out pretty well so it does not drip or run. It needs to be damp. If you want to use again there may be a transfer of some of the tannins from the leaves or iron. It may give an interesting result though. After some experimenting you'll get a sense of what impacts results; that's really the best way.
Thanks very much. 👍
Wow! super creative idea!🧐👍👏🏽
Hi, May I know that you use short hair wool?
Beautiful!
Fantastic work!)
🙄
simply stunning thank you!
I am New to this and was just wondering, which fabric do you like the best to work with? Which is best to trace on, and punch the needles thru. And which one Will last best? I was thinking about making a portait, but make it as a pillowcase. Thank you for this tutorial, absolutely amazing!
i like to use real linen as it is strong and also a natural fibre. Linen is so strong that it won't even allow ripping along the grain as cotton does. I'm loving linen lately... Best of Luck!
Gorgeous! I want to try to make some of these this year.
If you don’t mind sharing, what is the name of the program/app you use for tracing the outline?
I used Procreate (add a layer and trace) on an Ipad with the Apple pencil, but I used to just use tracing paper over a photo. You can also try Adobe Illustrator and 'livetrace', or even Photoshop > posterize for shapes of colours.
Wow! This is incredible. I feel I learned so much from watching this video. A couple questions… how long did this take you to complete? Also, what would you say is the estimated cost of making one portrait? And last, what kind of scissors are those?
It took possibly 4 hours. I do not do commissions so I do not know the cost. Search Etsy possibly for commission artists. Those are little snips that work by squeezing. I actually got the red ones at a dollar store.
What do you have underneath?
I made a wool pad (layers of felted vintage wool blanket). You can see it here: www.madebybarb.com/2021/08/22/needle-felted-pet-portrait/
So smart, great techniques, I want to try this some day lol. ❤😅😊 thank you
Typically how long does it take for you to do a portrait?
I think it took about 5-6 hours of the felting and some time to get the image ready as well. I hope I've inspired you
@@madebybarbcom you have! It’s just awesome what you do! Thank you for taking the time to share.
Simply beautiful
Thank you : )
🙂
Silly question, but do you take the stuffing out before putting lights in? I'm not crafty, obviously!
Oh yes, that way the light can shine through...
Wonderful ! How long in the micro ? Thanks
I do short bursts and that also depends on the size of the bundle. I stop it before it gets so steamy and starts to blow up. www.madebybarb.com/2018/11/12/alternate-eco-print-processing/ The reall processing happens when it sits in insulation (see post)
Hi Barb, would you pretty please consider making a video on how you make your geode lamps and geode Rocks? I would be eternally greatful. Sending sunshine and positive vibes 🥰
