I’m enjoying this new episode but I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t a clue what your commentary is saying. However, it is interesting to see that you are replacing the fuel pump, something that I have had done some years ago. Your car has been modified to make access to the pump easy . When I asked my mechanic to replace mine he had to lower the tank to gain access to remove and replace it. Cutting out the hole is good idea, but when I had mine done I had no idea how difficult it was to do and, I had just put new carpet in the back and didn’t want to pull it up to replace the pump. Great video which taught me a good lesson. Kind regards Alan

I’m very interested to know why you chose the “old school” spot lights rather than the more modern l.e.d. Lights that you chose to replace? I removed two Cibie lights and replaced them with l.e.d and have not yet used the car so I have no idea if I made a mistake or not. Good video nonetheless. Thank you Alan

Well it is a fuel pump that sits in a LR fuel tank - I have replaced mine in 1996 D1 - petrol not diesel

I put the big alive tuning intercooler and silicone hoses on my td5 the difference was quite remarkable

Would love an assisted clutch on my Prado 150, it's pretty heavy.

LED forlygter, er de lovlige? Jeg har talt med min synshal og de mener godt de kan godkendes og indskrives til 700 ish kr. og jeg har selv tænkt meget på at montere LED i min Disco. Vedrørende ABS har jeg lavet ABS modul hack'et ved at trække 2 ledninger fra den nye shuttlevalve direkte til ledningerne i stikket og løste mit problem og ABS'en fungerer som ny. Fejlen er grundet dårlig lodninger i ABS blokken. God video(er)! - Nisse

With no info coming in from the MAF regarding ambient temps and whatnot, is that indicative of a knackered MAF? Or is it just not talking to the NanoCom. Sorry, that bit went way over my head lol 🤷‍♂️

Best mod on these is a 3 inch turbo back exhaust, and a VGT turbo. Probably worth chucking in a fresh set of injectors too if you're still on the original set.

think my stage 2 tune boosts to about 1.3-1.4 bar about 19-20 psi

Get rid of the EGR valve immediately. If you ever need to remove the inlet manifold, you will find it full of very sticky thick black tar which is extremely difficult to remove. I found that the silicon hose that is attached to the turbo kept becoming detached. It would slowly ease itself off the turbo. I ended using a correctly sized exhaust clamp rather than the pipe clip that you are using. Don’t throw the original ones away, just in case…

Stage2 in a TD5 is allways a good idea! You may think about removing the DPF (not only) for the Sound 😇 Some thoughts: If you want to use the Stage2 the intercooler should be upgraded. A decat pipe would help to reduce the exhaust gas temperatures. Instal an EGT-gauge to keep an eye on the temperature to protect the turbo.

you need a bigger intercooler to get the benefit of a stage 2 map also you dont have a dpf on a td 5 just for ref
