Gear Bearing 0.5 tolerance
Переглядів 1277 років тому
This is a 3D printed planetary gear bearing. The design came from www.thingiverse.com/thing:1588807. I've tried printing several gear bearings, but this was the first that had enough tolerance between the gears that it wasn't fused. It's also the first I printed in ABS (the rest were PLA), so maybe that's affecting my precision. Anyway, the gears are very loose in this iteration, so it's time t...

Practice Day at Green Mountain High School, October 15, 2011. Broomfield High School's emergency redesign. By this point we knew it would be nearly impossible to score points, but we still wanted to get a feel for the game field, the containment area obstacles, and have some fun! rockymountainbest.org/

    i liked the video... what is the use case for cross banding between repeaters?

    • @ChrisKeller
      @ChrisKeller 2 роки тому

      Honestly it's probably not a good idea, but if you really needed to link the repeaters and had permission from the owners, you could do it to link different groups with single band radios, or extend the coverage of the two repeaters.

      The Thingiverse file this is made from (www.thingiverse.com/thing:53451) is parametric, meaning it can be opened in the Customizer app and different parameters changed. Take a look at www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=53451

      Which variant of the radio do you have? What letters come after 710 in the model number? I was demonstrating on a GA version, G for GPS and A for Americas market. The features and menu locations may be different for a different version. Let me know and I'll try to help!

    Hi Chris, great video. Couple of quick questions: 1) how often does the radio identify itself when in cross band mode, and 2) does it identify on both frequencies or just UHF? 73, Bob KO4CLV

    • @ChrisKeller
      @ChrisKeller 4 роки тому

      Bob, the timer is for every 10 minutes which aligns with FCC requirements. As for which band it transmits your ID on, I'm not 100% sure but it's probably only whichever side has PTT/CTRL.

    • @ChrisKeller
      @ChrisKeller 3 роки тому

      (Edit: this is wrong) I verified tonight, it will ID only on the band that has PTT.
