Nah. What you are really doing is making a pitch for e-readers in general, not Kindles specifically. Actually I'd get any e-reader BUT a Kindle, because you may not actually get to keep all those books that you "bought", unless you strip off the DRM. Amazon can remove from your library, or change them, at its whim. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Kindle#Criticism I'm happy with my Kobo Aura 2. Like the Kindle, it has thousands of books, and fits in a coat pocket. About e-ink displays in general: It consumes almost no power, until you flip to the next page. Less, if you turn off the edge lighting altogether. That's why the battery lasts so long, unlike with the backlighting in iPads and other tablets.

Trying to decide between Kindle or iPad mini. I don't plan on getting Kindle Unlimited. I don't read too much. I just plan on using Libby on it. For my purposes, it may be better I just get iPad mini. I feel that Kindle is only worth it if you're getting Kindle Unlimited. I want to use Hoopla too, but it cannot work on Kindle.

6:00 I've only read 1 sapphic book this year, "On The Same Page" by Haley Cass and I looooved it, I had a great time reading that on my kindle while also listening the audiobook 🙌🏼. And I agree with your opinion about "A Fate Inked in Blood" :/ A book that made me cry? Oh girl, two nights ago (at 3am) I had a full breakdown after I finished Divine Rivals... it was like when I watched Atonement for the 1st time and that huge "reveal/plot twist" is shown and it breaks you soooo hard... yup.
