DIY Pulley System to hang picture frames in hard to reach places // woodworking // ASMR wood shop
This build is about using space that would normally never be used.
I built this pulley system for a private at home art studio where the artist needed to hang her painting that are still being completed in order to have them out to look at and take down to continue.
The only wall with more then enough space was a bit too high to reach without a ladder, so I came up with this rail, chain and pulley system that can lower each strand independently when she needs to remove a painting when needed.
Now this build was a proof of concept project and I used plywood for most of the build, but I would definitely recommend using hardwood instead because of the moving parts that will be rubbing up against each other. All though it will not be in use constantly all day.
Hope you enjoy the video and if you like it, like it :)

Quick and Easy way to make rustic looking pallet furniture for your patio in an afternoon. Built these 2 benches and an ice cooler stand out of 2 pallets. This can be done with very minimal tools and is great for a Saturday afternoon project to do at home. One thing to keep in mind, most of the wood came from the pallets, but I had to add some more for the legs as well as the cooler stands fram...

Organized modular tool and hardware storage in the back of my work vehicle. Trying to find something in a unorganized environment is always a pain, so i had to come up with a better solution. This modular solution fits my needs perfectly, because each tool box can be removed and these box's are stack-able so you can always add more box's on top as you would need more storage. Future upgrade pos...

    Maybe use cam followers. Top eccentric and bottom fixed. That way you can adjust eccentric followers down on sliding frame. Tack nut on back side of plate for threaded potion of followers and drill large enough hole for nut to go through. Then weld plate on on frame.

    Hey mate. How have those scateboard bearings held up? I'm looking at building a similar setup but that would be my only concern

    • @jonathanbromley499
      @jonathanbromley499 2 роки тому

      Think of how much impact and a beating skateboard bearings take regularly, they're incredible. If anything the bolt holding it would bend. As long as you don't overly tighten.

    Hey guy.First thing, great job u did. I really like the simplicity and tightness of the ladder rack as well. Questions - did i miss how you secured it so it doesnt pull all the way out? What about that flex factor when extending it past that certain point, where it looks like it might be dragging on the tailgate? How does that affect it? Enough that u did something about it? Did u make a platform on top of these? If so, did u post a video on it? As time went on, what have you found that worked out very well, and in opposition, what might u have done differently? Thanks for sharing. Aloha ;)

    All that time and hardware, tisk,tisk. I have a line X spray liner in the box. Chevy has pockets in the bed side for creating a second deck.made 3 spreaders. Laid a split 4x8 3/4 inch pressure treated plywood across the spreaders , hinged in the middle. Glued Astro turf onto the plywood . I slide buss trays underneath, mine fits 6 in all with lots of room for long items carries all my supplies, remains dry for the most part, I drilled holes in the corners of the buss trays just in case. Water drains through around the sides , me and the fellas stand around the box and put their coffee and breakfast sandwiches on the turfed level while we shoot the shit . I can remove everything in two minutes if I need the bed. I commend you for exercising your brain though. You will regret what you’ve done in time when the system you have created doesn’t work for you for whatever reason. I’ve made all the mistakes while searching for the grail but there is no grail. Best advice is the same advice you’ve ignored. Keep it simple....... it’s really not your fault, you have a young and perhaps an uncluttered mind. In time friend, in time. After enough failures the light will go on and you realize the futility of it all.
