The 1st class compartment looks very nice indeed! I took this train last fall from Hamburg to Stockholm and back. I also booked 1st class, but unfortunately SJ had trouble providing the rolling stock on both journeys. We only found out at the station that we would have to use a couchette instead (the 6 bed compartment). At least it was empty and my gf and me had it to ourselves. Still very annoying and because we were using interrail, we didn't even get a proper refund. Only the ~50€ reservation fee. I'd love to do this journey again one day (the proper way this time), but I'm very worried about SJ turning it into a disaster once again. 😬

Härlig video. Jag ska med familjen boka Euronight, Sthlm, Hamburg, 1 klass, t/r så fort biljetterna släpps. På SJ ser det ut som 1 klass har tre bäddar. Men det ser ut som det bara är två bäddar. Vet du hur det ligger till med det, finns det olika typer av 1 klasskupéer?

Took that train last summer, but in the other direction, from Stockholm to Hamburg. We went to Berlin too, and later onwards to Munich and more, but for that we took the German high-speed train, the Inter-City Express. I got all the way to Milan by train, except for the route between Munich and Zurich where I took a FlixBus coach, but that's only because the train was canceled because of storm damage to the track. I cheated on the way back to Sweden however, and flew back to Stockholm from Milan.

I like the videos! I think you should try to talk over your video shots too. Your music is good but it would keep people’s attention more if you were explaining what we were seeing, how you are feeling, where you are etc. looking forward to watching more of your videos!

I like some of the stops in your video. I wish you’d talk more about the Allgau region though and be more genuine with the narration. UA-cam is littered with videos that go on and on about “steeped in history”, “fairy tale”, “enchanting” and all the other buzz words. Might be more helpful to tell folks how easy it is to enjoy the bike routes, take a walk to Austria (only 20km away), or visit the Weisskirche. There is tons of stuff to do in this region. Thanks for the video, giving it a thumbs up!

Thank you for your candid comments about the new Sun Princess. I would have to agree with everything you said regarding what you did not like. I would add that I do not like that it is a mega-ship with that many passengers. The exterior looks like a mega cargo freighter with a tumor on it.

Princess does not have good drinks at all. Actually, they are the worse. Celebrity is #1 for me. However, I do love cruising with Princess just not their drinks. As for jazz music, Princess is not the only cruise ship with dedicated jazz music. Have you tried HAL’s BBKing or any of their live music events? I love HAL for that reason.

I don’t understand how sailing on the Sun Princess will change your mind about the look of the cabin. You toured the cabins on land. The style, layout, decor will not change once you cruise on sea. IMO the decor/color scheme is much better. They have not changed the layout of Princess cabins except adding the cabanas. This I like. I prefer cruise lines to be recognizable for their style/vibe. I like the familiarity that each cruise line represents. When I want a change, I’d rather visit another cruise line.

They have Coffee Currents because the coffee at the International Cafe sucks! Don’t confuse those delicious sandwiches and desserts with their coffee. I hope Currents is as good as the coffee looked in your video.
