Let's continue to grind through that 'Under Lock and Key' album with 'The Hunter'. One of my favourite from this album!
The riffs are just razor sharps on this one! And the solo is just another classic from Lynch with a very melodic evolution. Not perfect still but I think I come close, with minors accidents...

Continuing in my series of covers from Dokken's 'Under Lock and Key' album, here's my take on 'Don't Lie To Me'. One of the less known song from the album but still has decent riffs and an original solo! Trying some multiples camera angles for the first time. Not a pro on the editing but trying to up my game! Here's a cover of Never Use Love from Ratt's 'Invasion of your Privacy' (1985). Great riff based on power chord inversions and that classic Ratt flair! As always, DeMartini solos are raw and unpredictable when they go fast. Even when I slow the track down to 50% I can't fully grasp it perfectly since they're weird notes or 'mistakes' that ultimately serve the vibe when up to speed. I just have ...

Here's my best attempt at playing Round and Round from the 'Out the of Cellar' 1984 album. Had to do it! The ending solo is so hard to pull off! I did my best but Warren was crazy in those days...so raw and unpredictable! Had a bad shoulder injury for weeks now but it starts to feel better. I should post more regularly. The solo tapping part is a bitch and I haven't manage to be fully satisfied yet but here's my best shot!...the after solo noodling is improvised. Maybe 'The Hunter' is next!

Here's my second cover from Dokken 1985 album 'Under Lock and Key'. Another great song. Love the sound of the riffs on this one! The solo is one of Lynch most recognizable and is always associated with that cheesy music video and insane flurry of notes at the end. I can't play the tapping part with the crazy trademark strech however! Tone is from BiasFx2 (Judas Priest preset on ToneCloud)

Here's an obscure Dokken song. Officially compose in the midst of the 'Under Lock and Key' album in 1985, it was finally released on the Side B of the 'Dream Warrior (Theme From A Nightmare On Elm Street 3)' EP in 1987. It's a great song that isn't covered much so I did my best to delivered the most accurate version yet. Let's go!

Great cover, but I wish more people gave some love to the outro solo! So catchy, but even the official tab book (which is pretty damn accurate) just gives up at certain sections of that solo as it's so tough to replicate.

Nice! I That solos is short, but super quick. It also seems to borrow a few licks from the In My Dreams solo. I think Under Lock and Key was the best produced , with the best songs of their catalog. Back for the Attack has more ripping solos, and Tooth and Nail is heavier, but this had the best balance, and all the performances are excellent.
