Just a quick A/B comparison between the Clippy mics and the Zoom H1N built-in microphones!

As I said in the video, this isn't a technique that I discovered on my own, I found all of the information in various places and pieced it all together in one easy video.
I love that it’s a lighter weight bag. Just wish it could fit a bigger ipad. Crossing my fingers they make one more bigger version.
It being lightweight is one of my favorite things about the bag! A 3L version to fit larger electronic devices would be neat
I got the Max, and now I will have to remind myself to not put buttered toast into it. Thanks for the info and the laughs!
I assume no responsibility for any butter-related product defects 😶
Great video. I am considering this between the mini and the regular version. Also was looking at the flight sling. the main reason would be for travel - carry on, small backpack and then a small bag like this for my trip. Things like passport, wallet, AirPods, cable, battery bank, maybe my go pro. Essentially something discrete that I might be able to sneak on the plane or pack it in my backpack and pull it out when on the plane. One question I have is that I have been considering the AirPods pro max would they fit in the regular size version? or do you have another suggestion?
Thanks for watching! I don’t have a pair of Air Pods Max so I can’t say for sure, but their marketing images show a pair of headphones fitting in the Flight Sling 2L and the Tech Case Max. Again, I can’t say for sure, they look to be Bose headphones and I’m not sure if they fold differently compared to the Air Pods.
I carry a bravo sling max no problem at all so the tech case max won't be any problem for sure because the back sling max is ten liters😁
Need to get my hands on one of those Bravos 😩
What costs more the vertex or the tech case max?
The Vertex is just a bit more expensive at $105 for Axoflux/$119 for Xpac, and the Max is $79 for Axoflux/$92 for Xpac.
I don't want to get the mini because I know ill be kicking myself for not getting the max.
The Max is fantastic, I personally just don’t carry enough stuff to use it all the time
Great review man! I’ve been looking at this bag for a little bit now and I think I’m sold! Don’t carry a lot of stuff, but like you I don’t want it all in my pockets!
Really appreciate you watching! Glad you dig the bag, it’s one of my favorites! Gotta keep those pockets free haha
I appreciate the quick and realistic looks at different Alpaka products. I am a big fan of what they do and hope they continue working with you. Maybe they can send you one of the new Flow Satchel bags they have on kickstarter so you can do a review of it. Either way, thanks for these videos!
Thanks for watching, and thanks for the kind words! I backed the Flow Satchel on Kickstarter so if they send it my way or not, that video is definitely coming!
Thank you! Great video. I'll be purchasing one one. God bless! Be safe! 🤙🪖👮🙏🇺🇸
Love your chilled approach to these videos. Not wanky and self-important, just honest and light. Good insights and humour throughout. Keep going.
Appreciate you saying that! Trying to keep things chill and honest 😊
Will the max fit a sony a6400 without taking off the lense m
Depends on the lens but I would say probably not
@thankyoumisterspell that sucks but I kinda figured, thanks for answering appreciate it 🤜
Awesome review, thank you for comparing it to the vertex pouch and loading it in the backpack, was super helpful!
I know what I would want to see from a review so I’m glad you found it helpful!
I like how to the point this video was. Subbed.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for stopping by 🙏
Off screen height correction was a nice touch!
She couldn’t let it slide 😂
Thank you for the most normal and helpful packing video on this website lmao. If you have a minute, would you mind sharing the internal dimensions of the main compartment? Trying to decide if it's worth taking the plunge on this during their sale. How do you like the padding for longer carry? Heard some complaints of it digging in after a bit. Thanks in advance!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video, and found it helpful! Absolutely. The dimensions I’m getting are 19” tall. The backpack tapers a bit, it’s 9” at the base and 11.5” at the top. And then a depth of 5”
@@thankyoumisterspell much appreciated, man, thanks! Ordered one with the hope that it will work as a one bag for 10-12 days and as a (big) EDC while traveling, too. Hopefully the loadout fits!
The hub clip was free with preorders. I fold the hood back and it makes it much more accessible. Fold it back over if it rains . Good bag, but some very obvious improvements needed for v2.
Guess I missed that preorder bonus somehow! Glad I got it, I wasn’t sure about the Hub stuff before and probably wouldn’t have bought any of it. Now that I’ve had the clip, I love the system. Yeah, folding the hood back definitely makes it easier! I’ll be posting a follow-up to this video soon now that I’ve had some time with the bag.
Need more likes, for sure.
OOooh Mr. Money Bags with 4 whole dollars!
hardest flex I can muster 😤
RETURN IT THAT RIP IS UNACCEPTABLE
Alpaka’s customer service was incredibly helpful and they sent me a replacement ☺️
@ good to hear man 👍🏻
You are clearly a massive fan #notanad
This one was #notanad but there are some gifted items coming soon!
Can you please post the link for this bag. Also great review, very in depth :)
Added the link to the description! Thanks for watching! ☺️
Inability to find glasses for a giant head is the same exact issue I've been living with for years, so I know your pain brother 🥲
I’m trying to convince myself it’s because my brain is so big but the evidence for that isn’t quite there sometimes
Nice throwback... POGs and Slammers take me back LOL
😂 I don’t know why that’s what I thought of
I hope you send it back to get the front repaired or replaced. I was looking for a decent sling that could fit my iPad Air, but it looks like it barely fits the iPad Mini.
Yeah, already been in contact with Alpaka. Got a replacement on the way. Their customer service is fantastic. iPad Mini fits great with the pencil on, and with the pencil detached it’s more than a perfect fit. Definitely would not fit the Air though. Alpaka’s Go Sling fits up to an iPad Pro. Might be worth a look!
What sucks is that nobody makes a small stereo XLR pair, for something like the F3.
That would be really cool!
The pitch bend on this has to be my favorite abt this device 🙏🙏🙏
Many thanks for this comparison!
This is great. Is the patch still available somewhere?
Exactly what I wanted to find out, sheesh the difference does sound pretty amazing. Also, I’m stealing that hanger idea. :) Thanks Anders!
Glad it was useful for you! Definitely made me realize I made the right purchase! haha And please do take that hanger trick, pass it down through generations
Something that I’ve found interesting is using the tombola with a slow roll to kind of randomize notes. I try to lighten the gravity a bit also so it’s more subtle
Thank you very much for the microphone test :) Greetings from Warsaw!
dont quit day job
how much voltage the clippy mic need to operate? I'm thinking of connecting one to my phone.
Clippy EM272 cool! )))
What do you mean by going to tape? Like you're recording on tape? Or within the machine itself? Software? Logic?
Within the machine itself! OP-1 has a built-in four-track tape recorder
Been trying to get my hands on the USI lom mic’s but since I can’t, this seems like a good alternative! Your video sold me on it because I want something to work with my h1n that’s easy to carry around. Cheers and thanks for the test!
Where’s the patch?
What’s the patch?
I really appreciate this video! I recently bought an H1N and went to do my first field recording in a forest yesterday. It's great for close-up sound sources but it absolutely sucks when it comes to distant sounds (like birds). These 272 sound like the perfect combo! I just ordered mine from the Netherlands since Micbooster won't ship to Mexico :(. Anyway... Thanks for your video mate! / ¡Muchas gracias!
thanks great tips. i like the sun glasses case tip.
How is this microphone for recording music? Can you upload a video of it to the channel?
Absolutely! What exactly do you mean by this? Like recording a concert in a venue, recording a solo artist in a more intimate setting, recording vocals/instruments at home? All of the above? Something else? Just a bit more info would be good!
@@thankyoumisterspell Play pop and classical (piano , guitar)music from a high quality speaker and then record with the EM272 microphone. is it possible?
@@rq9649 I mean of course that's possible but recording a speaker isn't the greatest way to test a microphone
Too bad the downloadable link is a spyware link - well played
Made this video seven years ago, I don't even know if that website exists anymore. Thanks for the heads up! I'll remove the link
Thanks for the A/B comparison, that sold them for me! Do you know if the casing can be temporarily removed so that just the EM272 capsules can be used? Looking to try a bit of binaural recording with just capsules, but also want the clippy casing for general recording. Thanks!
Hey, maybe this is still relevant: you can remove them from the casing and put them inside silicone ears.
1:21 em272 2:37 zoom h1n
Hey there! So the H1n gives out 2.5v plug-in power while the EM272 suggests 3v or more. Is that too low or do you think its enough? Funny enough, I have a very similar setup but I can't for the life of me find my Zoom H1. I might have to shell out for the H1n. I have a stereo EM272 also (but mine are naked) and sony MDR-V6 which is literally the sister to your monitors. And if I could find my H1 it would be complete... lol. I have mine on a dummy head with silicone ears its almost perfectly ready for binaural recording. =)
Where did you purchase your Clippy EM272 matched microphones I can’t find them anywhere the website for mic booster it says the website it’s no longer available
@@mothermyrtlehandmadesoap128 Micbooster is where I got mine from. I'm not sure where else, sorry.
Hi there, I'm not sure why but I can't download the patch :( would you be able to email it to me by any chance? This tutorial is insane, opened my mind! thanks for sharing
This made me buy an OP-1. I barely have any musical experience and I have heard it's not the best for beginner but something about this little device really speaks to me.
I relate to this a lot! I would love to know if you're happy with your purchase, as I'm thinking about purchasing one as well and have no musical experience either. (I'm mostly interested in creating ambient stuff on it.) Thank you!
I can only speak for myself, but I have some experience in music (since I have played guitar for 25 years), but just recently got interested in electronic music and bought this synth. There is something inspiring about it I cannot fully explain. It is NOT the one tape or other disantvantages that forces you to be creative. I think it is just plain fun and an extraordinary workflow. I can really recommend it and I am contemplating getting a field in some time.@@rrricardo5906
Did you buy it! I am thinking of switching out my KO-II for the OP 1@@rrricardo5906
Very creative setup ! I will not see my coat hangers the same way now 🤣
Thanks for doing this. I was considering getting the Clippy set for birdsong and other field recordings via my H1N and now I'm sold. Cheers!
