We are so happy to get behind the scene access to one of NY’s best restaurants. On a recent visit Chef Romy Dorotan taught us how to prepare pork belly Lechon in the Filipino style! For 25 years we have known Romy and Amy Besa, the team behind Purple Yam, a Filipino restaurant in Brooklyn. We first met when Patrick was working at Slow Food in Italy around 1998. Amy called him and asked if she c...

When we dine out, we love eating small plates and having choices on what to eat! Huertas is a perfect place to eat in this way. In fact, we love Huertas so much we ha...

BBQ does not need to use exclusively the cheapest meat available. As with all cooking styles, heritage breeds make every dish better. Fette Sau was one of the first BBQ joints in the US to feature exclusively heritage breeds on their menu. Before each service, the team at the restaurant would chalk the daily specials on the board with the cut listed first and the breed/farm right after. For nea...

    The Original NYC Nutcracker started and CAME from a restaurant called Flor De Mayo on 101 St. and Broadway. Food is good also. I remember they used southern comfort, 151 rum, Grenadine and 3 other things. But the heights got the Recipe from the bartender and started selling them in an apartment on fort Washington I think 187th or 186. Then others started selling them and created nemos and other things.

    I’m going to do this but with it on the smoker up to the stall 165, do you think I would run it at 165 like your video? Will that break the fat enough to pull apart?

    Hi sir, I was watching videos on UA-cam when I saw your channel. I really like your video content. But as a UA-cam expert, I noticed one thing: your video views are getting fewer and fewer. Later I researched your channel and I saw your video SEO score is very low . Your video and found that SEO optimization is not done in your videos due to which your videos are not going to your targeted people, your videos are getting less views and channel subscribers are getting less. I can say as a UA-cam expert if you can do channel and video SEO friendly things like tag, hashtag, description, and keyword research then your UA-cam channel and video will grow fast. I think your UA-cam channel will make your dream come true. Thank you

    Hi Dear I did visit your UA-cam channel and found some issues. Your subscribers are 671+ but there are no views of your video because your video is not SEO. Increase your video views. I have analyzed and realized that your UA-cam channel is not progressing and improving. It is responsible for: 1. Not Seeing channel videos properly. 2. None of your videos have good tags. 3. There is no good tag in the channel. 4. Keywords used are not researched properly. 5. Videos are not promoted properly. 6. Not creating attractive thumbnails. Solving these issues will definitely help your channel progress and improve.

    Your site and product info show three separate instructions for cooking. This UA-cam video says to Bake at 500º F. Your instructions below the item says Roast at 325º F. And the instructions sent with the bird say Cook at 300º F. All say to finish off at a high temp for 5 or so minutes to obtain a crustier skin. What we wound up with was a dry chicken, that frankly tasted little difference from a regular supermarket bird. Also, why don't you have any way for customers to contact you on your site? Do you not want to hear from your customers?

      I am getting mixed information too, on how to cook heritage birds in general. I think they cant be cooked like grocery store birds so i was shocked when he put it in the oven at 500 degrees, because from what i am reading it needs to be slow cooked like in a crock pot and the meat will fall of the bone, thats sucks tho when you buy organic/healthier and then the instructions are not even clear ....its super expensive I live in Canada and we got a heritage bird not from this company but another company here locally, and it was $32 for a whole bird. I wish being organic/healthier alternatives were cheaper no wonder the average person cant do this.

    Is it necessary to wash the Butt before hand or is completely fine

    • @brandonwilcox3307
      @brandonwilcox3307 Рік тому

      It's completely fine. Washing meat is completely unnecessary in general. If you have skin on poultry, look out for feathers but aside from that, all meat is ready to cook out of the package.

    I like your videos very much 😊 As a UA-cam expert, I analyzed that your UA-cam video is not getting proper views. The reason is that, video isn't SEO completed, no ranked tag used & didn't optimize the channel with white-hate SEO,keyword research and some others issues. If these issues are resolved, then your UA-cam video views will increase.🚀🚀 Do you know UA-cam algorithm which channel prefer and increase their video impression & search result first? If you want I will SEO 2 video for free for your satisfaction . If you need any kind of help feel free to tell me.thank you.
