😢I had my cataract surgery and could see perfect. The doctor tried to lock my left eye in and the machine wouldn’t allow him to. The assistant went to ask and she said the machine won’t lock the vision until an adjustment is made. The doctor made a zero correction and after that my left eye vision sucked. They’ve locked the vision in and when I’m sitting on the couch the wording on the TV screen is blurry. What a disappointment. My vision was perfect. Every appointment I told the doctor my vision was worse after the zero lock in.

I went with the LAL lens and am very happy with the results. The only frustrating part about the LAL lens is having to wear the UV-blocking glasses 24/7 (you take them off at bedtime) for a total of six and half weeks. You wear dark glasses when you’re outside and clear ones that have UV blocking protection coating when you’re inside. These glasses protect your eyes from exposure to all other sources of indoor and outdoor UV light, which can cause uncontrollable changes to the LAL lens. That was really inconvenient for me. I know many people who opted out of LAL lens for this reason. They did not want to deal with having to wear the UV-blocking glasses for a long period of time.

It would be interesting to hear from more patients who have had LAL surgery and their opinion ie do they still need reading glasses to see text messages on their phone or read pill bottles etc also, what is their night vision like, are their any star bursts or glare from lights etc?

Instead of UV sunglasses why don't you design UV contact bandage lenses to lesson the burden of wearing sunglasses for weeks...?

I guess I am the only one who is not happy with my visual acuity after LAL implant. I was encouraged to get LAL due to my previous Lasik. Post final LAL lock in, I have 20/35 in one one eye and 20/40 in the other. Doc said that's the best he could achieve for me. However, I was seeing better after the adjustment and before the final lock in. The lock in procedure definitely had a negative impact on my vision. I haven't been able to find any reviews out there similar to my experience. But for the huge extra cost incurred for these lenses, I was hoping for better results.

The "one size fits all" of these glasses needs to be handled. If your head's larger than an apple you're in for some very uncomfortable weeks ahead post surgery.

I had my right eye done in May 2023. After the 1st adjustment my vision was 20/25 in that eye. The 2nd adjustment was just supposed to be a small tweak to get me to 20/20. Instead my vision got worse and settled in at a weak 20/40. The third adjustment made it even a little worse. The doctor attempted more correction during the 1st lock-in (adjustment #4) and it seemed to help a little and brought me back to 20/40. The final lock-in made no difference in my vision. Now I'm looking at having to do PRK surgery to get me to where I want to be with that eye. My doctor doesn't know why the lens didn't respond correctly in my case. They say they have one other patient that is having a similar issue to mine, but that most all of their other patients have had good outcomes. My doctor did reach out to the RxSight Rep but apparently they also couldn't understand why the lens was not responding positively to the UV treatment.

I had both my eyes done recently it was my only option as far as premium lenses because I had previous RK and lasik done in the past. My Distance vision was 20/30 or 20/40 not sure but it was blurry at all fields of vision. now my vision is 20/20 with both eyes open not perfect due to astigmatism but way clearer that before. my computer vision is much better and I can read most things without glasses except real small print or dark places. I would recommend for sure. But do your homework another lens might be better for someone else.

Does the Light Adjustable Lens procedure entail MonoVision so as not to be Presyoptic? I'd rather compromise/settle for [hopefully] negligible artifacts (ie., halos or starbursting) with different MultiFocal Premium Lens vs. STILL being Presyopic OR losing my depth perception from MonoVision. Can someone please clarify?

3 - 6 adjustments depending on your preference. The final light treatment is a lock-in step that uses up the rest of the macromers.
