I’m not trying to criticize in any way but I just wanted to inform you that that cage size is way to small for any kind of gecko, lots of pet stores say that it’s fine and suitable but all reptiles need a heat gradient meaning they need a hot side and a cool side, in order to do that you need at least a 29 gallon tank, please research as much as you can about your animals before you buy them thank you 😊❤

You really shouldn't be using moss or bark for the substrate because they can injust that. And it can and will kill the gecko the ecoearth is perfect.

The thermostat that you’re using is only going to tell you the temperature of the ambient temperature in the tank, it will not tell you how hot the surface area where the heat mat is at is. In order to know what the temperature the surface area is where the heat mat is you would have to use a digital thermometer with a heat probe.
