I enjoy aquascaping and fishkeeping with emphasis on nano fish and shrimp. I am enjoying making videos and sharing the escapes I am creating.

My Kid's Aquashella tank
My daughter won a tank at Aquashella and she scaped it how she wanted. I think she did a great job! She is looking forward to making a new one after Aquashella.

In my previous video, I built the hardscape, and now I get to plant and finish this project. Please check the end result and let me know what you think. I will likely make some changes to it in the future and I would like to reduce the plant mass to show more of the hardscape. Thank you Tommy for the awesome aquarium backgrounds. www.youtube.com/@Silver_Creek_Aquatics

I have not posted anything in a long while, I had a lot going on, but I had this idea of making these Vortex Cave Aquascape for a long while, so whenever I had some free time I got to build it.

The color of the plants pop in the bowl! I like the different bowls in the video. I can't find these types of clear bowls in my town. Can I ask where you got them? Especially the big round one.. 😊
Hello Tammie, The bowl I used for this one is a 12" diameter bowl (about 3Gallons), I am not sure where you are located but I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby (they actually have it cheaper this week), but you can also find it at Walmart and Michael's, though I think the one at Walmart doesn't seem that clear. You will need to look at their floral section. Thanks for watching!

how do u care for this? one time use? i have couple small 1 gallon bowl i have scaped. but now its a pain in the behind to clean them.
Bowls are difficult in general, cleaning the glass is a pain, but melamine sponges are live savers . I kept that for 11 months (I had to move before it was a year old) I had to trim plants every other week and water changes every week, it didn't really take that long. The light was balanced enough that algae was not really an issue. After I moved I just let it go wild and I was using it to grow some CPD fry. I do want to make another forest bowl-scape so maybe soon there will be another video
@@TheNanoAquariumGuy Thank you for the reply. Looks beautiful. I just see myself trying to clean the glass and knocking everything over. :)
i like it
Thank you!
Any tips on what sites to source eggs from? Thanks.
Hi! I purchased mine from here ebaycom/str/charmofjapanfulltana but I don't think they send out stuff this time of year. Their Instagram is ricefish.japan perhaps you can ask them for info there.
Forgot to mention, there is also DAKU Aquatics, he is local to me (South Florida) and he sells Rice Fish, I actually purchased some Blue Miyuki Rice fish from him not that long ago. (www.dakuaquatics.com/product/blue-miyuki-medaka-ricefish)

OMG, if only I could create something so lush and spot on... try countless times over the years and enjoy the whole process of scaping my nano tanks but never have created them on this level. You really know what you're doing and have a talent for sculpting because i see how you work that scale throughout the setup and the results are impressive, sir. (Can you perhaps give me some pointers on where to go online and some names on a few tiny (yet easy growing ) aquatic plants so I can buy some? Unfortunately, there is little to nothing no more around me to go and purchase anything 😕 so those little cubes with hydrogel grown seem to be an option ? Thanks buddy and again Very good job on the tank
@@yesNo-pr4nc Thank you very much for your comment! It made my day!! These are the plants I use the most because they are easy to grow and as a matter of fact they grow sometimes too quickly... Hydrocotyle Tripartita (there is a mini version too) Rotala Rotundifolia (different variations) and Pearl weed. The bad side is that they require lots of trimming to keep check... There is also Rotala Wallichii, crypt parva, Monte Carlo, and Dwarf baby tears which are slower to grow. The easiest one (in my opinion) are epiphytes like Anubias Nana petite (different variations for different size and leaf shapes) and bucephalandra Mini variations (mini coin is my favorite), these are very slow to grow but hardy. I am not sure where you are located, but if you are in the US check chichisplanteddreams*com or dakuaquatics*com They are both based in Florida and they grow some of the stuff and resell from Florida plants farms. I haven't had the greatest luck with tissue cultures, it really depends where you get them (if they keep them properly) and how they are shipped. I had some shipped to me in spring and it was hot and by the time I got it, it was a goopy mess. I have seen stores that keep them on their regular shelves and are pretty much dead in a week, if your local store keeps them in a cooler then it is more likely the plants are in better shape. Hope this helps! Jay.
That is both cool and beautiful!

Wonderful scape man and also kudos to your parents. They came into my local Petco (where I work). And complimented my display tank I set up. They pointed me to your UA-cam channel and I have learned quite a few things watching you put together these scapes. Keep it up man!
