First time I have done something like this, actually a very useful tool to add to my arsenal. I used the kits they sent over to me for 2 weeks before making this video. Thanks a lot to Maimang Technology for sending this crimping tool out to me, although this is a paid review, ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.
Thanks a lot for watching,

Hello! Thank you so much for this video! not many take aparts on youtube. I know this video was a while ago. Was hoping to get your 2 cents here if you have time :) I have an issue where i'm getting buzz through the same Kenwood KD-3070. When I have my turntable going > phono > amplifier I get a buzz that increases with my volume. when using another turntable (RT-85) at the beginning of the chain there is no buzz, with same headshell. When touching the RCA connectors with my fingers the buzz gets louder. Also when hearing the same buzz when unplugging my turntables power adapter. The RCA cables which were just replaced by a tech. No buzz on his test bench. I've tried moving the turntable to a different location. tried bypassing my external phono and going directly to the built in phono on my integrated amplifier. I'm assuming the cables that were installed aren't properly shielded? I'm wondering if there are other work arounds besides replacing another cable.

Look on the motor itself. There might be a small potentiometer (preset). It might not be visible directly but there may be a small rubber slit on the motor through which you can insert a small (watchmaker's) screwdriver and adjust the speed of the motor.

Adding some late information regarding the ball bearing that's at the bottom inside the spindle sleeve: There is a replaceable ball bearing (standard 1/8th inch). In many cases you may not realise this because it can become embedded in solidified grease which you will clean away and it will just look like a smooth point when you look inside ... so don't give up until you work it free. The bearing can acquire wear. Without the belt attached these turntable platters should spin for a long long time! Modern synthetic cycle grease/oil should make the bearing last for ever. Now you know what to do you can give it another service in about 25 years! I bought mine in 1973. (Also, I should comment that folded paper towel is too risky to use between grips and spindle ... as shown by someone in the comments who damaged his spindle using that method.)

Step 1: clean the pot using IPA Step 2: lubricate the motor(bearings) Step 3: Adjust using a testtape. If you don't, you're not taking in acount drag . Problem with that is: speedfluctuation due to the fact the bearing and the shaft cause wow and flutter and the motor will need to overcome too much mechanical resistance (wear) By having cleaned the pot, the adjustment will be easier and more accurate. The motor (and soundguality) will be thankful.

I used car wash sponge (big yellow one) bought at local hardware store on sale for $2. I cut mine big enough to fit inside the spring and somwhat bulging slightly out of the coil but not too tight, once plinth back on, you want to feel a slight bounce and 4 corners balanced to the touch. Like MrAdopado commented, experiment accordingly
