Thanks for posting this. I'm incredibly disappointed that the gluten free tea isn't a gluten free tea service at all consider the price is insane for what's literally a soup and salad that's already gluten free. They don't even try to make anything gluten free. Sad. Guess I'll spend my birthday elsewhere. :(

Most people don't know that the HALE KOA is for VETERANS who have served over 20 years in the MILITARY, you just cannot just go in. The hotel is located in WAIKIKI near ALA MOANA shopping center, I tried. Sure it's cheap but reserved for mine families.

When I was young my father would take us there. The KAHALA HILTON is not cheap. Years ago when the President of the United States goes to Honolulu, that's where he stays. All of the HILTON HOTELS are not cheap in fact all hotels in Hawaii are not cheap but if you go online, you can find deals and that includes food. A different hawaii experience indeed!

Our last experience at the Hale Koa Buffet was disappointing. Line was super long and the tables were situated so they could cram as much people as uncomfortably possible. Not a very good experience. The food was ok. When I saw the long line and delayed seating in your video I guess Hale Koa hasn't changed. But the price changed. It went up and is too much if they still cram people into their buffet.

They are a more expensive than some of the smaller places in and around China Town. Legends Seafood is about the same.
