Keane - better lyrics, better composition and melodies, better singer. Boreplay has a couple good songs otherwise theyre mid and a massive snoozefest. Even their good songs get boring midway.

I saw an episode of this in the late 90s while visiting my brother in college. I was so blown away I bought the original subbed box set and watched at least 20 times through. Still my favorite anime series of all time and favorite score for any television show and up there with any of the great music for motion pictures.

Nostalgia

Old school anime was just better.

I have the series and movie on DVD. The movie was great. The only downside of the series is it has the American voice-over but not the American sound FX. FoxKids produced this anime for American viewing and changed up the Sound FX to be more dramatic. Like when swords clashed, it almost seemed like they thundered. When the suits moved, they sounded more mechanical and pressurized. Like heavy machinery. In the Japanese version, it's very subtle and flat. Like silverware clattering together for sword play and car doors being closed when suits open their hatch. All in all, it was still a very good anime, I think Fox kids did a better job on the sound FX. 😎👍

Back in the day when anime animators didn't rely on 3D animation for their mecha scenes and actually put effort into their details.

序盤からインチキ光学迷彩装備を持ってるってだけで好き放題やってきた敵部隊が、敵の気配を探知するスキルを会得した主人公にボコボコのボッコボコに叩き潰される、作品最大の山場（この直後、急に主人公がパワーダウンして、ザコ敵にも苦戦しだす）

エスカフローネはもう少し評価されていいと思う。キャラデザにちょっとクセがあるのがネックだったか。

個々の機体が早く動けば良いというものではない、敵も見方も動き自体は非常に鈍重でゆったり動いているが、殺陣は実に引き締まっていてきびきびと爽快に見せられている、ガンダムOriginのチャカチャカした不自然な早い動きより断然に優れている、アクションは常に相対的な要素が重要ということ

現在のデジタルではこの重量感は再現不可能だろう。それとエスカのサントラのように海外で収録する事もなかなか出来なくなると思う｡

So apparently Sunrise blew their budget on this anime. That's why gundam wing looked absolute dog turd(except of-course for the beautiful opening scenes and endless waltz ova) in comparison I don't mind it tho. I prefer escaflowne over that horrendously overrated of a gundam series in wing
