Klunkerwand FA's - Zillertal
Although, the Zillertal is already highly developed regarding the climbing, there is still untouched rock to find. This year we decided to take on a different kind of challenge then repeating the existing gems and contribute some of our own creativity (and sweat) to the area.
We developed 4 routes of which 3 already have seen ascents. Grades ranging from 7b to finally probably 8b. Additionaly, there is a little bit more work to be done as the routes Numenor and Rauchquarz have some potentialy harder extensions. Also maybe one more route fits on the left side. Sadly there is not much room for more routes because of the waterfalls to the right and left of the routes. Although, the existing routes are "only" around 38m into the wall; whereas, the wall is much higher (100-120m). So devinitely some more potential for the psyched.
The now so called Klunkerwand is located in the beginning of Floitental on the right side and can be reached within around 40 mins from the parking.

sick little film man, its easy to complain sometimes but we've got some of the best climbing in the world out here, regardless of the weather that comes with it
@@sam-ys9pc so true, many people are put off by the reputation of the weather; although, it isn't always just bad and there is definitely times where it's perfect. The amount and quality of the diverse climbing (not only bouldering) is something special.

Thanks for the reminder / trip down memory lane about some of the best climbing Australia had to offer. Unfortunately everything in this video is now closed. Gallery specifically, Millenium Cave (Nomads Saints and Indians) has had all it's bolts removed, and Muline is also a "not permitted area". But that doesn't mean these aren't special to climbers who experienced these amazing places.
Had climbed Eureka Wall just when they started the stupid ban. The best wall in the world by far. wished I had a drone with me back then. video is amazing.
