How To Build a Miniramp Halfpipe in Your Backyard - Timelapse
How to Make a Mini Ramp! I built this 22 foot ramp (3' x 8' x 22') mini ramp half-pipe during the great Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020. More details below...
I following along with this guide at DIYSkate (I modified the flat section to be shorter):
diyskate.com/mini_03.html
Total cost: about $750 on the materials at Home Depot. Helpful note, if you are building your own, a cheaper coping pipe to buy is 2" EMT Tubing which is only $25 each 10ft at Home Depot.
Took about a week of building, and a few helpful hands!

just with a green tarp on it to protect the ramp, is it enough to protect the surface from humidity? does the surface last over time?
So, how is your skateboardi g now?
You rock and keep up the good work men
Hey man, looks great. Coupla questions if you have a sec...What was length of radius? What is height from base deck to top of platform? I'm in process of building one with my son, cheers.
How much did it cost
If a video said "how to ollie," but it was just a clip of someone doing an ollie, how would you feel?
curious how the masonite has held up. Have you had to replace it with something like skatelite or gator skin? Would love an update, great build!
dis is sickk
You are not really showing us how, no dimensions or explanations🙁
Would love to have the space for this.
Awesome OG skater from back on the day here. Nice mini ramp. Looking to build one myself soon!
All that and you can't rock to fakie? bruh
I'm thinking about building one in my living room!?!? 49 recently divorced! WTF
With roof sheathing I know they say to separate it 1/8". Do you have to do the same for a skate ramp? Just thinking about expansion that's all
Ramp still around?
i wonder how cheap this was compared to today
How much flat bottom did you guys put in that
Commentary instead of music would have been nice. Explaining measurements, materials, where you purchased the materials, etc... Didn't help me learn how to make one for myself....
We’re you able to use one sheet of plywood for both sides of one quarter?
Great video man. That's a beautiful ramp that will serve you for years to come. You should do a progress update and reply with a link to it in all the comments here!
Huh. How do you ply basketball now? Does the ramp roll away on wheels?
Too many videos showing build can someone give us examples of measurements , ie radius of the curve and how it should taper.
Nice work
I guess it's time to take down the basketball goal or one of these times you're going to smack right into it lol. Awesome miniramp!
Did u guys pitch the ramp for water letoff
looks amazing. wanna build it too.. especially loved the lil troll in the end on the board :D
That baby Yoda is on fire!
literally everyones dream over quarentine
Hey , what size is the plywood used on the transitions? Thank You I am building my ramp I got 1/2 inch plywood but I can't bend to form the transition
Detail of materials plz
I'm watching your video from Brazil! Would there be another link available? What is in the description is not working
What was the last layer you put on over the plywood?
did the coping ever get dings or rust?
PLEASE share the measurments :)
nice bro
Looks great
What is the top layer
Hey Lucas, I can't get the link to work? Do you know if it was updated or do you have the blueprints posted anywhere else?
I can see this being expensive, if you dont have the money just take apart a wood palet or two get some scrap wood for the sides some pbc pipe for coping and spend like $25 on playwood make 2 quearter pipes and there you have it cheap!
What was baby yoda skating at the end
I’m having a hard time finding the plans for this, can anyone help?
I did it myself thanks to Woodprix.
This is so awesome. I built my first quarter pipe two weeks ago and dream or building a miniramp like this at some point. Lumber prices are crazy right now and I'm trying to figure out if I have the space to build something like this but this video definitely inspires me. Good job mate!
750 is way more doable than the 5000 Keen and OC want, oh man.
Wow
why is baby yoda there at 4:37 XD lol
Doubles as a ball return when shooting hoops
Good work better it's a blast.
quick question what type of sheets do u use
yes awesome ramp, when you inevitably have to replace the masonite try out 1/4 plywood with spar urethane, it’s just better all round just it costs probably 1.5x as much
