I have no idea.. the gigantoraptor didn't appeal to me (or at least, the faff around sorting another mod when it was released!). Have you tried it since this message?

@@ZedsArk luckily I was prepared for it, had bees in a terminal passively making honey, those other birds that is not micro raptors in a terminal passively producing sap and 6 areas with crops.

I think there's a lot of variability. I've used the same tactic before and been wiped out. Never got so unlucky as to have the dragon invisible, though.

Yeah, I got lucky at a pod (and may have even had the liopleurodon buff). That shotgun is long gone now... I looked at the price of repairing it and wasn't keen on farming that much polymer!

@@ZedsArk Far from cheesing, I'd say more difficult if anything! I'm considering trying a Stego army solo... and thanks, I'd not thought of using them in a boss fight until I watched your Stego vs Dragon video... inspirational.

Yeah, it was good fun. It was meant to be an attempt at 2 theris versus the dragon, but we bailed at the last minute and for some reason, we took them instead. Worth getting them ready for forest titan, assuming it will still have a low drag weight when Extinction is released (my favourite of the maps).

Singleplayer. No other changes thay affect melee and damage. Is that the same as you? What are your rexs base stats? My breeding line has what I consider to be very good base stats.

I'd put all my kit in the otter and find it after ascending - usually it will appear by the tek cave door. However, the last time I went in, I didn't lose anything in my inventory, so I think they've fixes this problem.

For a while, I thought dragon targets the dino with the highest drag weight, as I experienced something similar. But on this recent video that doesn't seem to be the case. Anyone else had this?

Its because the yuty has a "higher priority" of aggro from the boss than the theris. I assume it is because the theris are herbiviors.

I understood it was to do with drag weight, but I think there is a range applied to this as I've had mixed results in some fights.

I haven't found one, but if I do, I'll let you know

It's easier to maintain and I find more ascended flak than I do riot.

Yeah, to be honest, I thought my Tek Suit had similar functionality, but didn't, so assumed a parasaur wouldn't work either. In the end, I used my Tek Binoculars to tag it, and that marked where it was. Love those Tek Binoculars!

​​@@williamrowland9331 unfortunately it's extinction exclusive thing and it's not even out yet for ASA :) So we currently kinda don't have a reason to breed Gigas or Carchas.

How happy are you with the risk? I don't know if it's possible. I suspect it would be, but haven't tried without saddles in mine. I reckon you'd need more cakes though. I can't remember how many they used in this video... was it 10 each roughly (some using more, some using less). With more health, yours could last longer, especially with more cake.

I haven't made any conscious changes to this, so cannot say why or how. I play on PC and have the settings on epic. That's about as much as I do graphically.

That is weird. Normally, it seems to take a few days for it to register and appear on my implant. Sometimes it doesn't show up at all, but that's rare and we usually redo them as a tribe. Those are good rexes! Mine aren't that good, but I'm still tempted to try them in the dragon fight. Maybe after I've tried my megalosaurus.

@@ZedsArk I used to play on official but started my own unofficial and it’s been so much better but the grind to get them like that on official was crazy but worth it

I've only ever played on my own server - can't remember why I chose this given how long it took to set up!

20k health (I stop there when levelling and the rest goes into melee). So, melee is around 800 to 1000%, depending on the breeding line. The newer line is better.

This is my own server. She does have some issues with landing and some times it will take longer than others. But I've never had her not land for the entire fight.

Yeah, a lot if people are saying the same: it looks like it's going to land and doesn't. I've got two vids of this fight - the other is with primitive saddles only - and both fights are different in how long manticore flies up for.

Very nice! Yeah, mine can't compete with that. You might even be in with a chance to kill dragon. Still trying to work out how I can test this...

@@ZedsArk I think the dragons flame breath would kill it before the carcha could get stacks from the dimorphs and pteras. If you fed the carcha with some Wyven milk to prevent fire damage perhaps.

I suspect you're right... but if you could dodge a few (and the carcha can be speedy), it might be enough for the regeneration to heal enough. When landed, the dragon does the flame breath every 20 seconds, so I'd you're on the ball, I think it might be avoidable. I probably don't have the reflexes, but a better player might...

It is possible to fly over using an archaeopteryx. In one of my other videos I used somehow managed to use a jetpack, but typically that shouldn't work (no idea how to replicate the Glitch...). Not sure if a megalania works, but a thylacoleo should.

Yeah, base melee is 28, base health is similar but irrelevant. It's not beyond the realm of possibility to find a better one and a better saddle. I wonder if it can take on dragon. If its possible to dodge a fire-breath or two, combined with the fast regeneration... I'm curious to know.

Thanks 😊 My graphic settings are just slightly under maximum due to some instability. I understand I can fix this with some CPU tweaks, but need to look into this a bit more... It's might also be down to recording settings. I use OBS to record and Filmora Wondershare to edit. I have these on maximum output resolution and quality settings each time. It means it takes up a lot of space on my drives, and a lot of time to compile and upload. Glad it's worth it!

That is a brutal way to lose a fight and lose those very good rexes! How many wyverns do you take and with what stats?

@@ZedsArk people on Facebook say they've done it and worked with rexes 50k hp 1000m plus and 124 saddle 19 and yuty, but they dont have recordings sadly

That amount of health and melee takes some serious breeding. Mine are 20k and 1000% melee with only a couple of mutations, but with base stats of 50ish in - which I think makes them pretty decent unmutated. I used to do it with rexes in ASE, but to be honest, the two attempts I've recorded (theris and stegos) are so much easier. I'd probably just opt for stegosaurus if you've got the energy to craft the shells required - and have a decent shotty.

21k and 700%ish melee minimum - some have slightly higher as they've been levelled a bit more.

It felt far easier than any other attempt I've made. Is that Glitch still there? I've never had it with the normal dragon boss, but I have had it happen in Tek Cave once, which I didn't know was possible.

Yeah, it's really variable. I think in both the manticore videos I've posted, there's been a big difference in time spent airborne.

That was carcha was called Plan A, one of a set of twins, so I've got a Plan B 😀 But yeah, I was panicking for that and myself!

Hopefully I never have to resort to Plan B...
