1993 Star Wagon rear ladder and tire carrier rack install timelapse#L300 #Starwagon #Overland

Gary at vwrack.com or evrack.com (goes to the same site) makes a phenomenal product!
He was very communicative, shipped faster than most companies that have stock on hand, and it arrived in under a week from B.C. Canada to Tennessee.
His instructional guide was full of pictures and easy to understand, and he also included a T handle to tighten 90% of the bolts, and the required loctite. All I needed was a couple wrenches for the larger bolts and a ¼ hex wrench.
Putting it together was simple, the hardest part was just getting it centered. All the pieces help square all the other pieces. I spent a little more time because I was trying to keep my "backup camera" mirror. It's possible, but not as safe as without it since Gary has included a "failsafe" nub that's welded in and sticks out should all your bolts loosen up the nub will keep everything from sliding down ideally. You could modify it by welding another one 2 in lower and retain your backup mirror.

Some time lapse video of my minor restoration of a 1976 La Pavoni Europiccola. All that's left to do on this unit is to purchase and install a replacement thermal fuse.

Awesome! Nice work, man. I really appreciate how you took the time to go over everything rather than just instructions for the modification. I picked one of these up at a thrift store for $5 - had no idea what the USB "in" was for until now. Understanding all of this really inspires me to try some other modifications. I agree with you, the gaskets and dust filters really are nice and make it a bit more outdoor resistant. As for the mic... they rushed that thing out to market on a deadline that they were well past is my guess. Another boon as far as I'm concerned. I don't need any extra smart devices with a mic. Not if it has wifi. A lens I can point where I need it to be. :)

Nice review. After watching your review I decided to go ahead and purchase this grinder. So far I've run several bags of beans thru it. I mostly grind for pour-over but also grind for espresso. I use medium roast for pour-over and medium and dark for espresso. It does a great job on both with the stepless ability to adjust to very fine for espresso and up to and past the point for pour-over. The VieSimple is easy to use, adjust and clean and in addition it is extremely quiet. 30g is the max for grinding. The hopper/bellows on the top "blow" out any residue. I don't know about grind consistency since I've been making frequent adjustments to dial in the grind. I think I've got it now for both pour-over and espresso though I may change my mind on that at any minute since I'm not a coffee snob. In comparison to my Timemore Chestnut C3 Pro Max it does a good job on both grinds. The fit and Finnish are excellent and the unit seems quite substantial. The only complaints are 1. The on/off switch is on the back of the grinder and it's not very convenient. 2. The grinder is very quiet when grinding but is almost completely silent when running empty. A small led light would be a great reminder that it is still on so it wouldn't continue running after finishing grinding. Would I buy it again: yes. Would I recommend it: For someone on a budget I certainly would. There are no doubt many better grinders at much higher prices but this one seems to be a winner.

Vinny - Thank you for the video. In August 1977, I was in Bologna (Italy, of course) and bought a 1977 Europiccola to take back to the US (120V). It was identical to your 1976 shown here. I used it for many years before taking it apart to restore. I got rid of the brown Hammerite finish shown here and powder coated it black gloss, which matched the other features of the unit... all chrome & black. Next, I bought a Millenium Europiccola heater unit off a guy called "Vinny" on EBay... who had to be you. The Millenium has the priceless improvement of the pressure switch for cycling on-off, which I desperately wanted. However, the base threads are different between the early unit and the Millenium stuff. Fortunately, Stefano's Espresso Care in Oregon make an adapter for this purpose. Finally, they also make an adapter so that I could add the "Professional" pressure gauge. Viola! I now have a cool updated chrome and black Europiccola siting next to my all chrome Millenium Professional. Thank you for selling me the later heater base!

I have a bad shoulder so instead of using the hand pump, I moved to the Yong Heng but it was very cumbersome and then after 13 months it crapped out and of course I did not have a warranty. I got smart this time and bought the 3 yr warranty from Amazon. The GSX CS3-I is so solid every charge that I will probably never need to use the warranty. Better to be safe than sorry right?
