When you get rescued by the ferry, you get to see your buddies surfing the wake that you’re missing. When one of your buddies is also filming from his helmet cam, you can make a full movie! Thanks Kevin! Wingers: Alex, Jean, Kevin and Andy.
$0 Haircut : with a Vacuum Cleaner!

And thanks to Covid19, this is how I cut my hair now. I don't want the military hairstyle, and Flowbee's are all sold out! So I came up with my homemade vacuum haircut solution.

Ferry Rescue (kitesurfing)
Переглядів 1085 років тому
Kitesurfing at Crissy Field, San Francisco, summer 20015. After jumping off the wake of a ferry, my sheeting line snapped under the landing impact and the entire kite gear flew away, along with the GoPro camera attached to the line with the CamRig mount. The ferry captain saw the kite flying past him and decided to turn around to see if the kitesurfer was Ok. They kindly rescued me and on our w...

Foiling under the Golden Gate Bridge
Lose the music
You sir just gave me an idea
😂😂😂...amazing! Brilliant idea!
LIES!! He clearly got an actual haircut or cut it more off camera. The Final Cut with the vacuum thing was way longer than the part where he’s using the clippers.
😀 LUV IT ! ☆ thanks ☆
A true cheapskate legend Sir 🤜💥🤛
Brother, as a 32-year Flowbee user, when I saw this, I was dyin' and I ain't lyin'. A brilliant Vac & Scissor hack!
Flowbee dyi
Now, that's a Mona Lisa!
I'm fairly new to winging at Crissy. I'm curious how you flagged down the ferry for the rescue. Can you contact them via marine radio?
That is brilliant. Thanks for the idea.
Uhhh... thought about Shark Tank? A lot cheaper than a flowbee.
Patent it!
At $150--$300 for commercial models, free DIY is great! Best part: using good quality hair shears is so much better than funky blades. Trimmers are not an option for anything over 2"--I looked! I love using what I have instead of buying more stuff.
Is that flipper fin in your back?
Ingenious!
So cool. Cover or paint that submerged center bar with mirror-like material and it will look like you're flying above water.
A poor version of a Flowbee. Save yourself the trouble.
A true engineering genius!
Wouldn't it be just easier to use hair clippers. With the guards on them? This is awesome idea though.
Yes it would be. A 2 inch guard will cut the top just nice. A 1 inch or 1/2 inch on the back and sides and my haircuts are done in 5 mins with a set of clippers.
Kite surfing without the stunts
Take that Flowbee!! Lol.
👍 This is a really neat idea and it looks simple to use. The science behind it is pretty crafty. Definitely bringing back 80s childhood memories with this one lol 😆. (The OG Flowbee) I'd like to know what store he went to buy free tools, hosing, box cutter, vacuum, scissors, crackers, and dip from to do this zero dollar haircut..... 🤔
Nice job dude! Love to see your ingenuity.
I love your approach and style………
Why don't use an hair trimmer'??
I can see all the normies trying to make one of these at home after watching this video.
Amazing!!
This man...I say it today to the world...is a genius! Since unjabed people are not allowed to go to the barber anymore this is a very good solution!
You're either an introvert or don't like people. Either way with that full head of hair just let it go till you can grab a hand full and cut it then.
This is a révolution !
This is better than the Flowbee cut!
Ha! Nice. too crude for me though. I have an old flowbee I have bene using for a LOOOOOOONG time. someone got into it between now and the last hair cut though and they have lost all my fking attachments. The Flowbee co and everyone on eBay are Gouging the crap out people who want to buy a new set though. I refuse to pay them. if you go to flowbee site now and try to buy 1 piece it's 5 dollars and 9 dollars shipping! for something as flimsy as a Disposable shaver plastic case that you throw out - I was looking on here to see if anyone has instructions to melt clear plastic and pour it into a mold. I might just get some spare plexy pieces and super glue and my dremmel out though after seeing this. They can kiss my a$$! you know , after they charge you all that dough for this thing you would think they would be grateful you even bought it and sell the cheap a$$ little flimsy attachments for what they are and not for solid freaking gold. what a load of CRAP! Yup i just figured what I will try first. My Plane is complete in my head, I am going to sleep on this. I might even make a video. wont be as cool as this one though. OH! I use a small shop vac bro, it's way better! great suction and I picked it up for 8 dollars at a thrift shop. The small hose attachment end fits right in a flowbee tube so no need for the stupid 17.00 rubber band tube they have as an adapter.
Everyone is using the exact same kite. I've never seen so many Clouds in one place. They must have sponsored this event.
I've never seen this before now!! Headed to SF from Detroit for the 1st time this November... hoping to see some activities going on like this!!
Tired of Florida yet? Come back we miss you :-)
👀😳.. With a training kite??.. So cool!!!
Well, you're a smart guy. Looks good
Thank you, very inspiring, watched it many times now. What Wings did you use? 550?
Correct, 550 front wing and 101 mast. Adding that to description now. Thanks!
@@stephanecros6716 Thank you. Looks very vivid.

I just started out kiteboarding at alameda crown beach…but this video is very inspiring. I’ll kite under the bridge one day!
If you have an electric haircutter, why are you using scissors? Attaching the electric thing might have been a little harder, but cutting your hair would be much simpler.
I want to learn this so bad
tell the truth - you still using it?
You're a very clever guy. I enjoyed watching every second of this.
When all the Flowbees are sold out!
Smart Ideal!
Ingenious MacGyver!
An idea.... what about making just the larger sized gizmo, with 3 cutting slots for different lengths? Another idea, what about making it so the inside end of the plastic tubing is smaller. ( maybe with sort of a "washer" made with a piece from a container lid, taped to the end) This way, the hair goes into a smaller area, perhaps making it easier to catch it all with the scissors? (I am an inventor with patents and about 25 inventions, and I love your ingenuity. Good job.)
Hello dear! Could you please paraphrase or re-explain your second idea ? I don't understand it very well to which tubing you are referring to. Thanks in advance :)
Genius🤣
