Can I at least ask for some tips for someone who's a 3d artist and would like to make their Disassembly drone OC's into models?

Use a lot of references, there's one pretty good reference of the head on Glitch's twitter back in '22 Watch a tutorials for character rigging, although MD models should be much easier to rig as their joints don't bend and flex like flesh, clothes can still be a pain in the ass. Honestly not much tips I can give, it was really more of trial and error (this is my 4th version of an MD model) though i can say if you want to start making characters, MD models are on of the easiest ways to start Hope this helps (:

The visor is semi transparent, and there are meshes under the visor that create the eyes and brows

Use as much reference as you can, there's some great ones on glitch's twitter. Watch a bunch of tutorials to help speed up your learning (i did not do that i just brute forced that shit, it took me 4 years of learning to start making MD models)

Watch a shit ton of tutorials is my advice, don't do what i did in my first year which was brute forcing everything without watching a single tutorial. Also use references, as much as possible
