No TEE?
Not needed. Onset a few hours before cardioversion. current guidelines, a transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) is generally not needed for atrial fibrillation cardioversion in the following scenarios: AF duration < 48 hours: Early cardioversion can be done without TEE in patients with AF lasting less than 48 hours, according to European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines. Adequate anticoagulation for 3+ weeks: If a patient has been on suitable oral anticoagulation for at least 3 weeks before the planned cardioversion, TEE may not be necessary. This applies to patients with AF duration > 48 hours or unknown duration. Low-risk patients on NOACs: Some evidence suggests that patients with low stroke risk (CHA2DS2-VASc score < 3) who are adequately anticoagulated with non-vitamin K oral anticoagulants (NOACs) may not require routine TEE before cardioversion. Normal left atrial size and function: Patients with normal left atrial size and function may have a lower risk of thrombus formation, potentially reducing the need for TEE. No other high-risk factors: Absence of other high-risk factors like reduced left ventricular ejection fraction, impaired renal function, or history of stroke/TIA may lower the necessity for TEE.

They zapped me four times this past Monday. No dice on the conversion. Stress test yesterday, sounds like ablation or pacemaker is down the road.
Can be challenging and success elusive depending on several factors. My ablation was smooth except the vein seal experimental device. Best wishes.

I was hoping for the best, but at 61, I hope to have a good number of years ahead of me, and knowing there are procedures that will help is gratifying. There ought to be a "RODE THE LIGHTNING" club where you can get a patch or something. Thanks for your video.

As tall as the Airstream Basecamp is I never see anyone actually jack up the trailer. Show me how a little bottle jack is going to reach the jack point on the back of the trailer.
You are correct. We used it after tearing the sidewall on a stump off grid. Found a flat rock and set the jack on top of that to gain required height. Used it again to replace the spare with a new tire at home using a few blocks of wood with the little jack.

Diagnosed with afib a month ago. On blood thinner and I was in hospital one afternoon. It feel strange to say this, but I have no feeling of any break in consciousness...none. Seems to be working so far.
While not ideal, you can live with sustained afib. I have for the past 16 years. Cardioverted twice and unsuccessful at holding w/o organ killing drugs.

How would you find the sizing between the two? I have a size in the veloce that fits really well abut I’d love to try to instinct model as I hear it’s similar in toe fit.

A bigmac binge is 20 bucks for alot of fatties. A pack of cigarettes or a pound of pipe tobacco eradicates nearly all cravings and is half that amount. Plus obesity destroys joints and endocrine system. I started smoking a pipe (no inhalation, vape isnt safe either. ) And i lost 20 pounds in a month.
I had my Cardio Version done about 2 weeks ago because i was in A-Fib for about 1 month. The procedure went well as i was asleep and did not feel a thing. So far 2 weeks after this procedure I am still in Sinus Rhythm but i am scheduled for a Cardiac Ablation in about 6 weeks to hopefully keep the A-Fib from coming back.
My father which is 68 just had this done to him. I brought him to the er a week ago. They decided that they were going to keep him. But, he literally had this done yesterday and was released today. So thankful! He's been a single Dad of 4 kids. He is retired of a job with 37 years. Now, he does have some restrictions with medication that he'll have to take for the rest of his life. But, we're so thankful. To just see him back home with his little oh blind dog in his recliner chair with the tv playing westerns, the news or anything sports wise is just so so special. He's definitely going to be a total different guy on a healthy diet and motivation from us to get healthier.
