This is a quick demonstration and comparison of the EMG 81/60 set versus the EMG 81x/60x set. The signal goes as follows. ESP EC-401 to a TC Electronics Mimiq Pedal to a Focusrite 2i4 interface recording to Studio One 4 running Neural DSP Fortin NTS Plugin with a Jens Cab Impulse. Thanks again to Tommy over at EMG Pickups and hope you enjoy the video. Cheers!
Studio One Tricks Ep.1: Defeating Drum Bleed!

This is the first episode in my Studio One User series. In this video we use Splitters to achieve some amazing results with drums.
Can you confirm that this works with Yamaha 3 zone cymbals or ATV?
Do you know how to animate the hihat opening and closing off the cc4 track automation track? I can't get SD3 to follow it?
Wicked review! Your channel deeeef needs more subs and traction. Will do my part and sub!
Better than Stl Tones LIBRA ??
Infinitely yes. Way better.
Hi, what is your setup in terms of which is neck, which is bridge?
Hello, is it compatible today with MacOS Sonoma 14?. Thank you
Hey its great, one question. In the plugin, can I do graphic equalization at various frequencies?
Since it exports at a lower volume, how do you normalize the IR?
any advice on how to export single shots out of superior as wav files?? trying to use this in tandem with roland spd sx rt triggers and i want to beefen up my bass drum and snare? I have designed some snare stacks and bass drum stacks but i dont know how to get those single shot sounds out of superior as a single wav??
never got an answer on this
This video is amazing and I need to know how you got a de verbed version of that snare. That’s one of my favorite samples but the verb kills it sometimes

Great tutorial, man. Thanks for doing it!!
It's pronounced Buugren
gracias 🫂🤗💯
I find this kind of thing works better if you use overhead mics instead of the room mics, to make fake room mics
Is there any sample stored in there?
9:32 Thank you for the review and demonstration! Quick hint for Melda's MultiBand Plugins: Right-Click the three bands and you can not only select the type of MultiBand (Split by Frequency, Transientsy, Volume, ..) but you can also choose to *use up to 6 bands.* Melda is mental and I love it.
It is very good man. Can I choose which frequencies I want?
@@SejaSuaEssenciaYes. You can set it how ever you want. There’s also panorama (LCR), mid-side, and parallel, which means no crossover and just maximum of 6 cabs playing all at once. There’s endless combinations.
Do you know if you update the old model if you get all the new presets for triggers and hi hats? great review but i always miss a hi hat review with DDTI. What possibiliies can you have with it.
Hmm I don’t find IR’s very useful or better than a real cab
Great video thanks! I am new to Superior Drummer 3 and Studio One is my first DAW. I'm trying to get more involved with with both. How did you create all the different sample folders, ie, kicks, snares and so on to be able to drag them from the Studio One browser into Superior Drummer 3? It looks like you're in your files tab in the browser of Studio One, So I'm assuming they are on your hard drive. But how do you select sounds to organize them like that from Superior Drummer 3 to your computer? Thanks, George
Hey, I have the Studio One with the DDTI connected to the laptop and Hertz Instruments as plugin. The problem is that I have no audio, even I see signal on the track. How can I fix that?
I would check your routing and make sure your patched correctly and also check to see you input and out on that track as well
@@gelbertoneaudio Great advice, the problem is that I can't find a video about it. 🤷🏻♂️
Can you connect to a Roland module to add more pads? Does it do that?
Yes! You will just have to assign different midi notes
INSANE INFORMATION THANKS
subscription is stupid.
It's a pity you can't add several samples to a pad to create a random round robin hit I know you can different samples to different velocities
Good take. I'm not against subscriptions either. They have their pros and cons. I only use a few Waves plugins so It won't be a big hit for me.
I also support this message! Keep the subscriptions but leave the option to buy or upgrade!
Interface is totally different now, and I cannot get IRs loaded.
You probably see the "Easy Screen" with devices and whatnot. There's an EDIT-button at the top, where you get into the interface shown here.
the more money one has already spent on waves, the worse of a deal this new subscription plan is for them.
I'm a Mercury bundle owner. I am pissed and I feel played. I'm moving on from waves.
Hi. My names Harvey and I support this message ❤
I am very angry with Waves. I recently decided to buy some of their plug-ins, using their vouchers (buy 2 get 2 free etc.) and now it's not possible to buy any individual plug-ins. I used cracks when I was a student, but decided to be loyal to them and buy their stuff, now that I work. But honestly, their decision really upset me and I almost feel like going back to the cracked version of Waves again. Thanks for the video.
Say away from cracked if you can. Trust me. I used to crack everything when I first started making music. Eventually I couldn't find a crack for several plugins and VSTs. They hurt my projects and crashed a few systems. I would take a look at what you really need and save up if you can.
@@beatbuildersstudio you're completely right. Actually, I study now all the alternatives to Waves. I also decided to support the small companies which are more loyal to their customers. I have also a lot of Alliance plugins that I bought. I hope they won't do the same think as Waves in the future. Thanks for your comment and good music
Waving goodbye, I only use a few of their plugins, I will not be paying 15 or 25 a month for no reason, the audacity for them to not update the ones people have spent hundreds on is ridiculous. Great video brother
This would be cool for acoustic ir's
It also loads acoustic. Pretty much everything.
Great tutorial. What about phase cancellation with different developers and IRs? Cheers from Stockholm.
because it doesn't actually load the file and creates its own curve phase doesn't affect the IR
Very good presentation and one of our fav tools too! Thanks for this tasteful vid 🙂
Man thanks, there is some great functions in it
Make sure you guys read diagram that comes with it. The wireless kit has you adding a 9v i to the tone knob and from tone knob to volume knob and then that goes into the jack it has you swapping the tone knob and volume knob wiring t
man thanks a lot this information can create a unique tone
A trick I like to do is stack the rimshot of the same main snare followed by the exact same parameters for velocity you used. it really helps with the attack of the superior snares
Brilliant THANKS best wish from London UK
A deep dive on Turboamp and MAmp would be really fun to watch from you btw. I'm having a lot of fun with MDistortion now too
Your review was pro I thought your channel was already really big. You can get to 25k in no time, keep going at it. Not enough people reviewing melda too its a solid niche
Oh man thats powerful. Comparing to Libra: so in this you load an IR and it doesn't load the actual IR but draws an EQ curve, meaning you can combine multiple IRS without phasing issues as occurs in Libra right? Instantly then you've got two polar opposite IR loaders and Mikko stuck in the middle... the 3 ultimate IR loaders if I'm not mistaken?! 🙂
How is this plugin not being talked about more? It's so awesome! Great demonstration of how powerful it is to shape the tone! I personally love Melda's MMorph and MVocoder plugins, mainly for mid-rangey synth bass sounds, because it makes everything sound that much cooler!
Ok That blend with the Ola cab was amazing! whats on your master bus tho?
On my listen bus is just sonarworks that’s not in the capture video. In the main bud it’s just a limiter to bring up the volume and source nexus which is used for capturing the audio of the daw.
WOW, I JUST LEARNED SOMETHING VERY COOL I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT STUDIO ONE. MUCH APPRECIATED ! LIKE AND SUB!!!
Thanks a lot, that's a masterclass for me!
Great video man! I would have never know about it had you not made this video. Definitely worth a sub! Keep em coming good sir!
Aweosme video! Great flow of ideas and great sounds! This is my favorite IR blender, hands down. Its hard to learn with all the buttons and knobs but once you get comfortable, the functionality is the best out of every other loader out there. I like your approach for getting started with the MB version but yeah, solo button. I wanted to share some other fun-facts: It auto-aligns IRs that have longer silences at the front (like Ownhammer) VS the MPT stuff. No need to mess with delay alignment. It just works right out the gate. You can just drag and drop .wav files from a regular explorer/computer folder straight into that graphical area. In case you dont like dealing with the Melda folder system. Less clicking around and youre already used to your normal computer folders so its just way easier to manage things that way. The smoothing is the best part and what makes it super unique. I only wish the smoothing and other knobs in that area would be unique for each profile. Would be nice to smooth just that Pantera IR but leave the Gojira one fully "sharp". It can be done with MCabinetMB by right-clicking in the crossover area and selecting "Parallel" (btw, check out the other crossover types... its crazy) but I wish it would work on the regular MCabinet that way. When it first starts up, to get to the screen that is featured in the video, you have to hit the "edit" button on the top-right of the plugin. Their new versions of this plugin have a regular looking GUI's to appeal to normies. Skip it and hit that edit button and dig in! Great plugin. I genuinely only use Melda for my IR needs. I use MConvolutionEZ for simple 1 IR plug-n-play and then I use MCabinet when I want to blend. Both of them allow for that drag-n-drop thing I mentioned above so theyre super fast to use. Cheers, brother!
Interesting! Will give it a try.
