What is with all the acting?! I know you have to act to sing something as uninspiring and irritating as Tallis, but it takes away from the music. As overrated as it is. We had to sing this in our (professional) choir and I happen to know that the words are very unrelatable. "Een the 'sprit' of truth" "Give you another comforter" "That he may bide with you" "Keep my commandments" Yeah, it vibes with young people like nothing else. Compared to most motets we did, musically this was also utter, utter drivel.

I'm a fan of Voces8 since having heard them first during a Shaldon Festival many, many years ago and were hooked from that moment onwards. We left England in 2005 and still miss the wonderful choral tradition which was cultivated. Jan is so enthusiastic about 'her' hall, she wishes that more kids can take musical courses there, that community choirs get a revival... She is lovely. We wish the same to happen here but since Covid much of the joy of making music and singing has been lost and couldn't (yet) be re-built. But we're working on it! Congrats on your ten years of fantastic singing; you are pure joy.

Please continue your marvellous work for another 10 years. It warms my sou.

I cherish your UA-cam videos they are so inspiringly beautiful, I find it difficult to get to concerts and these recordings mean so much to me. I have favourites, of course, depending on what my mood is . At the moment I adore Liebe by Franz Schubert, the boys sing it so very tenderly. I would love to be part of an intimate concert at The Voces8 Centre , the acoustics, recordings and the wonderful music you make there is perfect . I am very excited about future recording events and partnerships to come in the next 10 years. Thank You Voces8.
