I'm in pretty good shape. I am a little overweight, but I am active and eat fairly healthy. I had hernia surgery back in March, and the nurse who was prepping me for surgery seemed surprised that I'm not on any medication. I'm 37. You would think not being on medication would be normal.

Also i have noticed elderly people having more difficulty after trying to IF. Slower mentally. The brain needs a lot of consistent and easy energy.

Obesity is probably more related to food quality than consumption, at least thats what ive gathered. The average metabolism has been destroyed. Ive seen research saying americans used to consume even more calories than they do now. I think that bad health and diet will also be an inhibitor to fasting. It is harder to fast when it causes more pain than merely hunger. Eating consistently can help regulate things like hormonal balance and blood sugar. But ive read that fasting can make those things more resilient. Some health communities, like those inspired by Ray Peat, are very against fasting generally. It is hard to know just by mere science, or comparison of studies and infographics, what is the most beneficial. But fasting at times is prescribed by the church, so i know its necessary and i hope its beneficial. But my bodily health may or may not be a priority of the Church, especially above my soul. Although those priorities are entangled.

23:20 Pete, there's a difference between public and private debt. Governments are not households. Households cannot print their own money. Think of governments like the bank in the game monopoly. When the players need more money to keep playing, the bank issues it. It even says in the rules that when you run out of money to create more. This misunderstanding is causing so many problems in our world. How can we do anything when our governments are "bankrupt" and "have no money"? See how awfully nihilistic and depressing that sounds?

The Georgian feast is based on the Orthodox liturgy, specifically on the morning prayer - point by point! As the liturgy is led by a specific priest, so is the toastmaster. The first toast is praise to the Lord and gratitude to Him, thank you, and the second is for peace (peace to you), sometimes both toasts are combined, but rarely. And then, as in the morning prayer for the living, according to the instructions: - Save, Lord, and have mercy on our God-protected country (for the homeland - Sakartvelo) _Save, Lord, and have mercy on the Great Lord and Father of our Most Holy Patriarch (name), _Save, Lord, and have mercy on my parents (their names), brothers and sisters, and my relatives in the flesh, and so on, a toast is always for the deceased and always for the Mother of God and mothers (for sisters, for women) and finally to the guardian angels That's the whole point of the Georgian feasts, but only wine and no other drinks (vodka, cognac, whiskey, port and others are not acceptable for toasts)

I remember when I started looking into Orthodox Christianity after twenty years as an ordained Baptist then years of being far from the God I still believed in. I started looking into Orthodox Christianity, which I didn’t even know existed for most of my life, then it came to me and I wish remembered how. Anyhow, the demons did not like me going to Divine Liturgy at an Greek Orthodox Church and I too was attacked with scratches in my sleep for a few weeks until I went to a Monastery in north New Mexico and a monk there said he would pray for me and told me to make the Jesus prayer a very serious part of my venture and gave me a wool 100 knot prayer rope 📿. Everything ceased immediately and somehow I knew it would when he told me and as a previous Baptist I didn’t understand this and still don’t fully understand but I know through the Saints the fight is very real.

Small problem with the shifting Tamadas between tables, you'll have a make a list of who has said what toast at which table. This could get messy. Better to rotate the Tamada on the same table. This has a secondary problem, not everyone *can* be Tamada and nobody should be forced to make a toast. When I first came to Georgia I'd generally sit quietly unless something welled up strongly inside me, then I would ask Tamada. Not trying to criticise, just trying to help.

Watched video about a soldier on a plane during a night-time battle explaining that he would see the demons while wearing the night vision googles.....something about the red color would expose them.
