Finally we get an Admin Reveal!

Recently purchased one and when I insert the tape, it goes in, then a few seconds later it ejects it. No Tape lacing sounds.... What could the Issue be ? Thx in advance 😁

Very very nice! Really love the C6/ 710 decks and this duplicator is fantastic. I'm not aware of them ever being used in Europe; the SLO1700 I believe was the first duplicator with Beta HiFi as the system used for PAL requires the additional head chips rather than using the upper bandwidth available with NTSC and therefore NTSC Beta HiFi uses the same heads. Really a great machine you have there - looks low hours and well cared for. What was the changer like for it?

Really cool machine. It's the Hifi duplicator version of the european SL-C6. They have deleted the vfd display, the tuner and added remote link and test signal posts. That Technicolor sticker gives it a nice touch.

Very impressive rebuild! Are all betamax head discs more or less compatible if all you want is playback and don't care about trick functions or flying erase? I assume the player will work if the non-essential heads are disconnected or absent?

I have one of these and loads of old tapes. Any advice on connecting to a modern tv?

Not to offend but could use a better transfer. When I'm capturing Betamax, VHS, or U-matic (all three formats use color-under) I use my DSR-PD150 and capture it to the DV codec. Then I simply process the video using StaxRip and VapourSynth, using a script that uses QTGMC to deinterlace and nnedi3_rpow2 to upscale to 1080p. I should make a tutorial because the results are quite good for UA-cam.

If the head disk becomes wobbly after replacement, does it need to be adjusted?

The EBS test in this video, KTVU 2 in San Francisco did it that way. It showed the opening spiral, then changed the slide like that for the attention signal, and changed it slide showing the closing spiral. KTVU was the only San Francisco channel I never saw their EBS test on UA-cam.

Love to see this, done this job as former Betamax technician from C20 to SLHF950 (AEP/Europe models). Recommended to replace the upperdrum (standard handeling for SonyNL) as well because it has changed a little bit in diameter. Without replacement upperdrum the new video heads can be decrease faster than normal. Recently i got Service Manuals from SL-HF100, SL-HF150 and the SL-HF950. (only AEP models).

💯⭐️🇹🇷👍 I have nearly 100 betamax and vhs devices in stock, I have nearly 10,000 betamax and vhs tapes, these are excellent devices and tapes.

Just bought a copy of Frankenheimer's Prophecy. The picture rolls...i adjust track, it steadies. Repeat! Sometimes it just stops rolling on it's own, then will start again within 10+ seconds. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tried on 2 players. Same problem.
