Hi my name is Nick and I'm a full odds Shiny Hunter. I mainly hunt in Gens 3 and 4. I record my hunts live, and try to incorporate storytelling into my videos. Enjoy :)
[LIVE] Shiny Latios and Latias in HGSS
Latios and Latias, the Eon duo. To clarify, this is the Enigma Stone event, not the roamers. This was one of my fastest hunts ever, and two more HGSS hunts crossed off my list. I was thinking of speeding up the battles to try and shorten the video but I decided to leave them at regular speed.

Early in June, I needed another Shiny Hunt before Safari Week. Browsing UA-cam, I stumbled across the Unown Challenge, a Shiny Hunting event created by ImSlice. Basically, you catch a Shiny Unown, and depending on the letter you find, you then hunt a Shiny Pokemon beginning with that letter. It came down to the wire, but I finished before Safari Week. These three were all super quick hunts, with Abra being the only one who (barely) went over odds. I’m really happy that I got Vulpix on Leafgreen, unfortunately I had to phase on a Pidgey, which I almost failed. Now I will finally move on to Fuchsia City and wait for Safari Week to begin.

Skip to 7:34 for the Totodile Reaction. After a month of hunting, I can finally upload this crazy compilation. Counting up all three starters, I saw 93,936 Pokemon total, with 31,312 of those being Totodile. Currently at 10,000 resets for the $500 Magikarp at the Pokecenter. Needed something quick (17 thousand lol). Out of everything here I wanted Pidgey and Spearow the least, but a shiny is a shiny nonetheless.

I planned to dual hunt these two for a few weeks doing 512 encounters each night. Little did I know that the hunt would end the day after it began (This was my first 8192 legendary, hence the reaction and swearing).

Really cool setup and great vid explaining how to put it all together. I really want a wireless setup for hunting old Pokémon games but with how expensive it is and how broke I am I’ll probably just have to continue manually hunting lmfao
@@Gutswitdaboof710 Yeah as cool as this setup is it really isn’t practical money wise. If you really want to you could mod one at a time and save up for others
@ true and it’s definitely something I have in mind but it’s also permanently modding a system so I would want to do it with any of my childhood stuff so that In itself is another dilemma for me

2:33 “I took it off to save battery” You can also map one of the macro buttons to SLEEP which will completely turn off both screens to decrease battery use. Then you tap on the bottom screen to turn them back on

where did you get your DS consoles? i’m trying to find some for cheap
@@vvvela08 I wanted nice ones for the modding, so I got refurbished ones off eBay, and they were kind of expensive. If you’re looking for cheap ones you can try retro game stores, but their quality is hit or miss

@@snakesockGato So the website I used to learn how to do the macros is in the description below, “DS Transmitter Cart Setup”. Looking back though I should have gone more in depth in this video about that.

I really enjoyed the hardware debugging with the flexboard problem. I literally just bought myself another 3ds just so I can complete the dex on omega ruby so I can get the shiny charm. @@Shiny_Hunter_Red Definitely! Quick question, do you know how to stop the Rosalina menu coming up when pressing B with a 3DS game running and input redirection is inactive?
@@shinycollector7 Right above ‘Start InputRedirection’ in the Rosalina menu there is an option to change menu combo. My only guess as to why that may be happening is maybe you accidentally changed the combo to just B.
Meanwhile I just use an emulator

There's a reason why Gameshark devices exist plus stupidly high prices of the games. All for the wrong reasons. Shiny hunting is NOT worth it like this.

You didn't need to hide the ip address. Local ips are only used within your network. Your public ip also doesn't follow the same scheme as the local ip.

How you resetting your game just by clicking one button
@@GrystalBeastTV My 3DSs all are modded, so they are running input redirection which allows me to use one controller for all 3 of them.
@@Shiny_Hunter_Red does this work if you're playing DS pokémon games like pokémon HeartGold and SoldSilver I'm trying to shiny hunt the starters
@@GrystalBeastTV unfortunately no. You can’t access the modded 3ds menu when it’s in ds mode, so you can’t start input redirection.
That’s all I ultra use 😂don’t need masters
