True Masakado 1 Turn Kill Proof of Concept (No Incense)
The main issue stopping True Masa 1 Turn from being feasible is that he provides no means for you to kill your own demons. We can solve this by killing them ourselves.
Virus Carrier demons like Black Ooze don't consume a press turn if their action inflicts an ailment. This includes inflicting an ailment on an ally with Muscle Drink. This is used to confuse an ally, granting them a 35% chance to friendly fire every time they move.
There's also a 15% chance they do nothing, which is an instant reset. The first one (angel) needs to target a specific ally and kill them with a crit (23.33%), then can either target that same slot again or target Nahobino/Arahabaki to kill themselves (70%) for their second attack. If they target the 3rd instead and crit, you can use them for the 3rd instead of Onyankopon, and put Michael in the last slot for a slight meter boost (saving 2 ailments in the next step).
However, odds are you won't have enough meter after killing 3 demons and using Evergreen Dance to refill the bar. To remedy this, your Virus Carrier will need to inflict ailments to Masakado with physical attacks, getting 1% meter each time for hitting a weakness. Of the 5 Virus Carrier demons, only Black Ooze and Fafnir have positive Phys potential, and Black Ooze has the higher maximum luck of the two. The optimal sequence to use ailment skills looks like this:
- Frenzied Chomp
- Dream Needle (only if meter was less than 98% before using ailments)
- Frenzied Chomp (only if meter was less than 97% before using ailments)
- Mist Rush (only if meter was less than 96% before using ailments)
- Toxic Sting if no prior Frenzied Chomps poisoned, and otherwise a 3rd Frenzied Chomp.
Any number of ailments greater than 5 is extremely unlikely to work.
The odds of being able to get your meter back after burning the 5th press turn is around 1 in 183. However it turns out it's actually very difficult to get 3 Rampages with 4 hits each to kill.
The optimal Masakado here, contrary to what's shown in the video, has 136 Strength and 108 Luck. This gives a roughly 81% damage range assuming all 12 hits of Rampage crit, and a 65% chance per Rampage to crit. All 12 hits need to crit. You also need to get all 3 Rampages to hit 4 times which is a 2 in 3 each time, and while rare Masakado does still have about a 1 in 840 chance to miss one of his 3 Rampages.
Overall the odds of this strategy actually succeeding is around 1 in 134,248.

First up, much like the last video I uploaded, I am not the first person to get a 1 Turn Clear on Masakado. I doubt I'm even the first to do it with Nue specifically. It's more likely than you think. Basically if the combined total of all your damage reductions is at or above 100%, you will only ever take damage in increments of 1. This is achieved using the Awakening (buffed by gem) and Defense Up (buffed by gem and Soulhacker skill) buffs alongside Abundant Oceans and Plate/Shield Belts.

What makes Dagda so good that his exclusion is a notable condition?
He unlocks a Magatsuhi skill called "Dana's Wisdom", that essentially resets your press turn icons to the way they were at turn start. This can be looped.

Finally. Now let's see who's mad enough to get this legit. (how do you know if your meter is at 97 or 98% visually?)
Visual markers at the time of firing off Strategize, then counting. Also there's a more consistent route with Dana's Wisdom that has around a 1 in 8,900 chance to work.
If you don't challenge yourself for 1 turn kill, here is a strat *anyone can pull off 1ST CANON 1ST RUN !* The 1st turn to set things up: Shiva for minimum Defense, Arahabaki used Pierce buff, skip turn with the hero, switched 4th demon with Azazel to lower Attack and switched Shiva for Nahibeeho. 2nd turn is the last one : Nahobeeho uses Strategize, switch Azazel and Tzitzimitl back and forth (don't need Belial since Defense is already at minimum), then enter Amanozako to switch debuffs>buffs and Gogmagog to do 6 Figment Slash at 11000 damage each (He has 130 Str 95 Speed). I should have done that earlier. The hardest part was to beat Shiva, and give Null Physical to most demons.
No Dagda? Gimme some time to grind and I can demolish my way through just by using Beelzebub, Konohana Sakuya basically Idun on steroids. Donum Gladi and Masakado

@@vanilla8956 change of plans I did this with Agrat, Sandalphon and Metatron for Almighty attacks. Forget buffing my way through I’m basically brute forcing with Almighty spams. Metatron’s Almighty attack crits thanks to Sandalphon and Agrat can simply give herself a crit. I simply equipped Lunar Hurricane and Moonlight Frost for the heck of it
How’d it go
Change of strategy. Lunar Hurricane and Moonlight Frost. For teammates I have Agrat, Sandalphon and Metatron to damage my way through. Figured trying something else because Masakado is too broken and then there’s Dekaja and Dekunda
This is so confusing to me with the constant swapping once at full buff, debuff, and crit. Do you keep getting more buffs, but it just reads 2 with strategize? Its crazy seeing 2 lusters, 2 dibilitates, and 4 crit aura use for 1 turn.
Charge is consumed after attacking, so Nue has to swap out and back in to refresh it. Cerberus switching out counts as Cerberus performing an action, which means Faithful Companion (his innate) boosts the damage Nue deals when hitting weaknesses. It's important for Cerberus to switch out like that so that Nue's attack happens while a Pandemonic Feast demon is active, increasing the number of hits Rampage lands.
@@cantthinkofbettername5065 Mind explaining how Cerberus innate works? I mean I guess it works if he's out of party, but is it only boosting the Beast or User after Cerberus action? I thought it just worked for all beast when he's in active party? Also thank you for explaining the strat. I can see it much clearly now.

nue, vritra, mada, and chi you are probably some of the most underrated demons in the game
Nue + Vritra + Cu Chulainn is a great core for main-game, even if it falls off pretty hard for postgame content Mada I'm curious about. What makes Mada work so well? Chi You would be one of the most popular demons to use period for setups like this if he wasn't just an almost strictly worse Gogmagog (fewer weaknesses means a smaller multiplier from Vengeful Might, max possible Strength without Incense is 183, as opposed to Gogmagog going up to 203)
@@cantthinkofbettername5065 mada is pretty much good for everything. he has potentials for phys, fire, healing, and support. all of his base skills are solid, though mediarahan and debilitate definitely stand out. having the ability to be both a phys attacker and a healer at the same time is something straight out of nocturne when demons were extremely versatile. he also grants access to impaler's glory chi you can also be used as a mage with his surprisingly good magic stat. he has potentials for both ice and force making him good for shiva. he's also a tyrant so he has access to savage

Thanks and THANKS SIX MILLION! I wanted to beat Demi on my first run through in COC, purely to gain access to his bank account. I wasn't getting anywhere even on casual with what I had, so I scrambled to make what's seen here and quite easily followed along! (helped that I had half the stuff i needed in the party with me, though I did need to use my stockpile of almost 50 insence, but only used half of it after grimore save scumming, much like you noted in the desc). And to put the rest of this into words: Demons HATE HIM! Learn how this one Naohobino made 6 figures in one day using this one weird trick!

Does Nue's trait not cap at 10 like a lot of other traits do? I know Gogmagog and Arioch traits cap at 10, for example.
you mention 3 innates, none of which cap at 10. Arioch is 1 + 0.05 x dead allies with no hard cap (but an effective cap of 2.2x with 24 dead generally, though at certain points on NG+ Canon of Vengeance where you have more than 1 guest character you may be able to get higher) Gogmagog is 1 + 0.05 x num weaknesses with no hard cap (but an effective cap of 2.2x with 24 weaknesses) Nue is 1 + 0.3 x num weaknesses with no hard cap (but an effective cap of 7.3x with 21 weaknesses)

is gogmagogg with figment slash really the best for this strategy? what about keraunos instead as you can use charge and it may also crit 100% of the time with 24 demons in stock.
Demi-Fiend's not in your stock when you fight Demi-Fiend, and you want a full party of guys ideally (Zeus, Arahabaki, something to boost Zeus damage) with that setup, so it's at most 21 in stock. Assuming I use my 4th slot for Glasya-Labolas (who gives Zeus 1.5x crit rate), then Zeus still needs 155 Luck to hit 100% crit rate into Demi-Fiend. 155 Luck Zeus with a reasonable Strength stat isn't feasible without incense. Gog's damage multiplier is also over 2x, which more than makes up for the weaker Charge

A Young Man and his Giant Blob beat up a Guy with Tattoos and No Shirt. In all seriousness this was a cool setup. Atlus really went wild with the innate passives. Has led to seeing a lot of demons getting use when normally wouldn’t in Vanilla.
I love how Dagda is so good in this game that low-turn-count strats need to specify that they’re not using him.
Honestly I don't find anything useful about dagda that another unit cant do better, hes mostly in my party for danu to use the gauge skill.
The gauge skill is the reason his absence is worth acknowledging.
@@russmcmacken9001 Fair enough, but Dagda was an absolute godsend for me when I was dealing with Masakado (even without the gauge skill) thanks to his passive skill proccing at an opportune moment. He seriously kept Masakado asleep for two full turns!

Man I really wish Dagda was better on his own terms. Lost Hit is so cool, but I feel like it should pierce or always crit to have it be like actually useful
Interesting. By all accounts, you can add an extra 5% damage by removing Arahabaki for a Slime at the last hit when it's set up. Not a necessity but it helps for reliability's sake.
True, I wish I thought of this sooner. I believe you could also swap it for Huang Long to get a slight bigger overall boost, as 2.1 x 1.06 > 2.2 technically. Or actually, Bicorn would be a bigger boost than that, giving the last hit an overall 7.381% damage boost. EDIT: when I said 7.381%, I think I punched the wrong numbers into my calculator. It's actually more like 4.884%, as opposed to Slime/Black Ooze/Siegfried giving 2.326% over what I did
@@cantthinkofbettername5065 Wait, I'm not comprehending this. Why Huang Long? Doesn't his innate passive only work for Multi-Hit attacks? As for Bicorn, is the critical damage boost really worth it? If I have the right idea, you should have a 190% damage boost (since Bicorn only has 2 weaknesses) multiplied by 1.1x. And I don't think that's stronger than 220%.
compared to Slime's 5, so you go from 2.2x to 2.05x. 2.05 x 1.1 = 2.255. Bicorn's innate is only insufficient to out-perform Xiezhai as Gogmagog support.
Huang Long's innate has been grossly mistranslated and misunderstood. It's like Nyami-Nyami or Zaou Gongen, but for other party members with Omagatoki effects.

Im assuming its because of his unique magatsuhi skill which refreshes all of his press turn icons, essentially giving you twice the opportunities to attack
ya Dana's Wisdom (the Dagda + Danu Magatsuhi skill) resets the press turn counter, and can also be looped for a grossly extended turn. Since Dagda is DLC, saying "no Dagda" is more or less equivalent to saying "no DLC", for people who perceive DLC as "cheating" or "pay to win".

You need to set up 5 demons to kill themselves to refill the bar, refilling 15% each. If Nahobeeho is out when you use Dana's Wisdom, it's possible to have 25% or more still available after using it the first time. It's something you'd do pretty much only with strategize active.

Female Ryoma was due to the way they handled voices. Even numbered skins (00, 02, 04, 06, etc.) have the male voice while odd numbered skins have the female voice. I added the male Corrin skin pack to slots 08, 09, and 10. If you couldn't tell, Ryoma was the one on slot 09. And Pikachu is now voiced by Danny DeVito.
