It's a bit too soon. The setup is mostly labbed now I think, but still need to figure out some quirks. I dont like to make tutorials when I dont have enough information on the tricks. They get outdated real fast.

Indeed, this happens in the midst of the emmi encounter which forces the emmi yo chase you until you reach the intended emmi door. Otherwise, the only to break the chase and unlock the emmi zone is to parry successfully.

No problem 🫡 Actually your glitchless is safe. CScotty tested the route and you get softlocked cause the door that leads to the emmi cutscene didn't unlock.

With the early cloak routing you end up skipping the white emmis first encounter cutscene. But you need to watch it to spawn the emmi and be able to fight it. The fastest way to do that is a movement trick called magus skip. But since this trick requires that you watch the cutscene, you don't need to do magus skip anymore.

Definitely will happen! But for now I'm still working on trimming down the live footage for the AnyUR walkthrough and people are also working on better setups for this monstrosity.

Lmao, well it's this or corpious amirite. This would be the only difficult trick in Any% glitchless, so that category is still bearable. NMG and UR runners are gonna hate this (and me) lol

The other labbers are already working out other ways to do this, possibly more consistent, so maybe runs with this won't be as bad as I thought and you'll get your bearable runs 😁

Oh, right now this is far far harder than adam save skip. That trick has a consistent setup as well. This one has just been found, and even then I have my doubts.. I think even top runners will stay away from this for a while.

For sure. This didn't seem possible until yesterday when Bane found the new slide home buffer tech. Now we got this new monstrosity that I doubt anyone's looking forward to putting this in runs lol..

@@Arkandy Does it get broken at adam 3 after you went through the EMMI door, entered the room, and reset to checkpoint?

@@thehellsage Nope, I only went in there to see what happens. I reset to checkpoint to undo the lock and proceed as normal.

I know there are still many optimizations to be made, and a lower sob is definitely possible, but yeah that made me pretty happy with this PB!

Huge! Yeah that wall clip is definitely tough, it's more challenging mechanically than the current emmi warp setup so it'll take some practice to get more consistent at it. You got this! Also great to see the tutorial being helpful thanks for watching!

As far as I know the first player in the community to get this glitch, on accident, was japanese runner ボムヘイ (reads Bo-mu-he-i / Bomb-hey / Bomuhey). Axis skew was a known glitch since pretty much the game released. There even was a setup with invincibility on the purple emmi which was present in the iconic suitless route back in the days. But this skew that Bomuhey ran into was clearly different and had different properties, in particular allowed one to skew backward. No one knew how to replicate that for almost an entire year. At some point we just called it Bomuhey Skew. :)

First you need to do the Bomuhey Skew State setup. If you managed that, all you have to do is spin jump in the middle of a turnaround animation. Let's say Samus is standing still, you flick the control stick to the other side, hold it and press B. The timing of your B press is what gives you the skew angle and the direction Samus will face - you need to press B between 1-5 frames of the start of the turnaround animation. Try it out and see how it goes!

A lot of it is accidental discoveries on top of accidental discoveries, and then we all just grind it out until the tricks and clips make sense. It was a process, lol! Anyway, thanks man!

Minimal items is even more insane. In current patch they even skip Morph Bomb, Screw Attack and Power Bomb. In Legacy, they skip everything except Flash Shift, Grapple and Speedboost - the triforce of axis skew. I've never gone that route but if you're curious check out the speedrun discord and look for a guy named Dioptas. :)

@@Arkandy lol I didn’t really specify what I meant I just grabbed grapple beam early since it’s one of the easier skips in this game and basically played the game on the normal route that normal players would take but just like as fast as I could go like I’d still get every upgrade and a couple missle and energy expansions I think one power bomb expansion I was never like a real speed runner sorry for the confusion.

Sure does! Hold right direction for the whole trick and: Full jump (keep B held down to jump max height) into the wall, wall jump at the peak and immediately after press X to air melee, press B to spin around the time you touch the ceiling slope, get a buffered wall jump on the way down (basically B just before you touch the wall), and just keep holding right until you grab the ledge. If you do the above correctly you should get this! This is a relatively easy movement trick but it still has some precision to it, its pretty normal you wont get it immediately.

You can. If you have the invincibility glitch (possible v1.0.2 or earlier) you can clip into them for free. In current patch most of them kill you - but there's one exception in Dairon, the very first wide beam block after Wide Beam can be clipped from the left.

​@@Arkandy Oh, I was trying to fill out as much of the map as possible, but there is an area behind a wide beam box in the Artaria emmi zone that I think I locked myself out of by pushing it. I think Bomuhey Skew with shine sink would've actually allowed me to fill this area in if I didn't push it. RIP

Ah yes, you can clip in there if the flipper is still in its original position with an adc. I recall messing around with that with bdog a while ago. It's tight but possible and a map buffer might help you clip down there. You should be able to escape with a left clip+spark buffered through the wide block, or diagonal spark buffered on the right side. We looked into it before map buffers were found and it wasn't possible to get out - now it most definitely is.
