It has nothing to do with your memory. You have a dual CCD CPU. One with 3d vcache and one without. Windows scheduler is parking the non x3d cores……..which it should only do when gaming…….not when running Cinebench. If you open “game bar” you can set it to “not” park cores for Cinebench.

@@MARCOSTIMAOHEHODepends on what you are running and how windows has scheduled it. If it is a game and only have the cores are being used, then that is correct. It has to be the x3d cores though that are being used and the others parked. You can see what cores are being used by typing “performance” in the start menu search bar. Running a program like Cinebench should show all the cores active with the non-x3d cores clocking higher. Now close Cinebench and open game bar and within its settings tell it Cinebench is a game. Open and run Cinebench again and you should see only the x3d cores active and the other cores parked. if the cores are parked on the first run then “gamebar” is setting Cinebench as a game. In this instance you change the gamebar setting to “not a game”. It’s sometimes a bugger to configure with the dual CCD X3D chips, but it can be done. There are a couple of decent tutorials on UA-cam. Search for “setting up 7900x3d in windows”.

Hmm maybe this is what's affecting me. I updated my bios today and tried to mirror these setting and disabled fTMP. My bios just resets to default

@@Premises187 a work around is to create a windows install usb boot ,go on bios set boot to usb stick, disable fTMP save and exit and install windows from that, i just finished installing all the programs im gonna test and leave a comment here

because amd does something like memory training every boot.., if you have good motherboard you have setting somewhere to disable the memory training or just set it.. to not train every boot..

@@OndriQRoCK b550 is too cheap motherboard for this option i think.. got a Asus Rog x570-E myself, some options only come with more expensive variants motherboard. B = for basic 550 chipset the overclocking features get sold on overclocking capable chipets/motherboards = bigger heatspreaders and or more capable power deliverylines. overclocking is fun but if you want to do that you have to have capable hardware.. this is the best explanation i can provide without wasting my time for searching in your manual from your motherboard.

You need to buy another kit, or update you bios to the latest

Not abnormal at all on Ryzen. Remember that XMP is an Overclock of your ram. DDR5 natively runs at 4800 MHz. You may have one weaker ram stick and need to increase voltage to both in order to hit your XMP speed.

@@viener5908Not the same animal dude. Not the same. Similar……..but not the same. 3d vcache is in a totally different location on 9800x3d CPU’s so that alone throws a wrench into these settings.

5950x video works better for 5800x

@@TheWhaleENGI learned the hard way lol. after months of testing, mostly all of the settings you touched in this video effect ram latency. if you need actual settings that work then let me know

@@TheWhaleENGI have the exact same setup. I am a high end PC builder from Canada. The rig runs beautifully but ram latency is “less than stellar”. i always manually tune ram in my builds, but this one was challenging. Corsair Dominator 2x32 GB. Problem is that it is “micron” IC’s and they are just terrible. Max boot voltage is 1.25. Any more and you ain’t posting. I was able to tighten some of the timings and achieve a small OC of the ram……..but ram latency remains my issue. I wish AMD had Intel’s memory controller. The weakest part of every Ryzen CPU is its memory controller. You’re absolutely right about this board being top notch. Mine is the “cararra” edition. l
