God’s Commandments Are Not Grievous!
Переглядів 3914 годин тому
Start your year with a biblical perspective on God’s commands in this episode of Words of Grace with Ben Winslett. Exploring 1 John 5, we reflect on John’s assertion that God’s commandments are not grievous. What does it mean that His commands are not heavy or unbearable, as compared to Old Testament law or Pharisaic burdens? How can we find joy and purpose in obedience to Christ as a response ...

Earlier today I filmed a video, reviewing the trailer for Gospel Freedom - Complete In Him, an upcoming four-part docu-series produced by He Shall Save media. This powerful film series considers the liberating truths of grace, faith, and assurance and is a bold proclamation that salvation is entirely through the finished work of Christ. In an age of works-based distortions of the gospel message...

Contrasting Love and Hate | 1 John 3:11-16
Amen, Brother Winslett! The chief end of man is NOT to save himself or anybody else. The chief end of man is to do good works and glorify God. One of the (many) reasons that God the Son came down to live, bleed, suffer, die, and live again for us was so that we would STOP fussing over our eternal salvation and the eternal salvation of others, and just get on with doing those good works.
All of the countries you mentioned are non-christian countries..Are there christians persecuted in christian countries? Be an honest christian and answer this question. If a Muslim goes to a christian country and preach about Allah and that believing in Allah is the only way to be saved and this Muslim tries to convert them into Islam, how would the christians in their own country feel about that? If they react negatively and persecute the Muslim does this mean they hate Allah or could it mean that the Muslim is at the wrong place for practicing his faith and should be mindful of other people's faith?
Muslims practice openly all the time in America. But you asked "are there Christians persecuted in Christian countries." Yes. I produced this 30 minute radio program after our facility suffered over $20k in damages due to a vandal.
He’s completely misinformed. There isn’t a single Islamic-majority nation where it’s outright illegal to be Christian. For example, he cited Iran, but the reality is that Christians and Jews openly practice their religions there. Churches in Tehran have been ringing their bells for centuries, continuing a tradition that has lasted over 1,400 years. Moreover, the Iranian Constitution explicitly acknowledges Christians and Jews as integral parts of the population, guaranteeing their rights as untouchable and protecting their religious freedoms.
Talking out if his @$$!
This is so funny because this artist is so unserious that he named iran and EVERY MUSLIM COUNTRY and conveniently left out the one country that killed his messiah and consistently spits on his parish on stolen land 😂😂😂😂
Such a powerful comparison!
“People hate Christ”. If the world loves you it loves its own. If the world hates you Then know you are loved by our Father in heaven.
Christ said His followers would be hated as they hated Him. Therefore this is no surprise.
They’re persecuted because they decided to go to other people‘s country, disrespect their religion, and then murder in the name of God, kinda hard to reconcile with that shit. Keep your religion inside the walls of your nation and then you won’t have any problems stop worrying about other people’s religious belief. Because you don’t want them over here spreading what they believe. It’s as easy as that mind your fucking business on both sides.
Thanks for making my point for me.
Thank you for this. I think you make many good points on this issue and I look forward to the complete docu. You say at 10:40 “if Im an unregenerate I don’t care a thing about the Gospel, its foolishness to me.” Probably making your point with that form 1 Cor 2:14. And although we can clearly see and understand that in some sense, but isn’t there also the danger of some sort of mental assent and/or intellectual grasping the words & meaning of the Gospel message? To such an extend that it is not literally foolishness and ppl can be informed and in some sense even touched or temporarily “moved” by it and assent to the words, but are not changed by them through the work of the Holy Spirit? Like Paul f.e. says to the ppl in 1 Thess 1 :5. So something more then only words and assent is needed and it will become evident in one’s life when that happened (vs 8 & 9). Isn’t that a biblical standard for examining (first and foremost ourselves of course), but also in our (pastoral) conversations on the matter? So foolishness in the spiritual & lasting sense is absolutely true & clear, from Scripture. But does not the Bible have multiple warnings and teachings about that which seems to be real, but is not the real thing? And examples/standards of which it testify as being the true & saving work of God? Clearly indicating that it is possible for ppl that the (Gospel) message is seemingly not foolishness for them, but they’re also not saved (yet). I do not suggest that the solution is what some of the (lordship)men in de video clip do, but simply asserting that people need assurance in such a situation seems a little unfounded on the other side.
Amen Elder Ben! I pray that God with continue to be with you as a father and a minister.
Left the most important part of the verse out. You have not because you ask that you may consume it upon your lusts
Oh it made it into the sermon...just not this short soundbite.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
NOT. OF. WORKS. I love it!😂
Christians Helping Christians ? That is not what our Father wants for us. People Helping people whether they share the same belief or not . that is the meaning inside the word Humanity . Help all ,not just pick and choose ! Doing just for your own is Easy ! Shows little character! That type of self-serving mindset is not something Father approves of . Expect the same for your neighbor as you do yourself.
You inferred something not intended. We're to help regardless, but the example was Christians helping Christians in Acts. The point was to speak against incentivizing generosity through greed, as prosperity gospel teaches.
Dont do something just because you want something back. Do it just to be a good person. Do it to show the helpless and hopeless there is help and hope.dont treat kindness like an investment. Because then its not even kindness.
God made us and many dont even think he exist and go out of their way to try to prove he isnt real. Yet he gave them life and free will.
I would also add Ephesians 1:4 and 1st Peter 1:2.
Amen, brother. Very well put. Everything flows from the covenant made in eternity past with God the Son where He promised to stand as our surety, should we fall.
Phil 2: 12-16 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without grumbling or questioning, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. So, what do these verses mean? ...? It is a fool's game to pin their theology on only a few verses of the Bible. Anyone doing that is looking for an easier version of the Gospel. Of course we are all saved by grace. Good seeks us, He loved us first. But we must first accept and then cooperate with His grace. Many will not.... it is not as though we have no say in our salvation. We must accept the gift and then be obedient to the giver. Jesus commands us to love one another....love its an action, it's a decision. Stop misleading others into soft theology.
Here's a video on Philippians 2:12-16, if you're interested. ua-cam.com/video/sLM122dU6u8/v-deo.html
Romans 3:1-4...... believed=faith... faith is not a work.... Faith is not a work...belief is not a work belief is not a work 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Faith in truth brings miracles. Faith in sacrifice brings sickness. Forgiveness is truth. "If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent."
Merry Christmas!
He argues that if Christ rose, then resurrection is real. He implies that resurrection is the default, that our Spirit survives death through rising as it was with Christ. It's clear he's aligned with Isaiah on this score. The parallel scriptures of 1 Corinthians 15 12 and Romans 15:12 are worth considering. Isaiah is reacting to the hopes of the people that David return in person. He is saying our hope is in the return of the Root, that bodies can't reassemble but the Root can give birth to a new body. Thus Root implies the necessity of mothers and fathers to pass it along through procreation, as in DNA.
Notice how the emotion wasn’t really there when he quoted Jesus. Intellect supersedes the heart many times in these days. Faith rooted in the hope of the Scriptures is what allows us, through the love of Christ, to be absolutely persuaded unto everlasting life by the evidence left to us by our early brothers, that is, the Bible.
You mean when I was reading? Sorry my reading of God's Holy Word wasn't "emotional" enough for you.
Emotion is what’s conveyed through tonality & Spirit, that’s all. May the LORD bless your ministry.

What did GOD tell Jesus? Be SEATED at my right side tell when? Why was Jesus standing??🧐
It's not a contradiction. I sit and stand many times in the same day. The Son is seated at the right hand side of the Father. Some have wondered if Jesus' stands here as His follower is being martyred. John Gill wrote, "and Jesus standing on the right hand of God; of that glory which was a Symbol of him: Jesus being risen from the dead, and ascended on high, was set at the right hand of God, in human nature, and so was visible to the corporeal eye of Stephen; whose visual faculty was so extraordinarily enlarged and assisted, as to reach the body of Christ in the third heavens; where he was seen by him standing, to denote his readiness to assist him, and his indignation at his enemies."
@Marchtozion hunh? Listen, it was the last opportunity for Israel to accept their Messiah, via Stephen's testimony.

Who couldn't find Adam and was looking for him in the garden? In Genesis
God sometimes asks questions so we have to answer. It wasn't that He could not find Adam, but that Adam needed to answer for what He had done.
I'll take gullibility for $500 Alex.
Yes, yes you will.

@@mcollins476 I too was a skeptic. That is until someone showed me the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation. They are a perfect outline of world history written in advance. Even the United States is in there. Long story short you are about to see some stuff. Enjoy your atheism for a little while longer because you are about to become a believer once the Sunday laws hit. Not even the makers of this video know about this prophecy. This is information that is not public yet. After this Sunday law passes in the U.S. there will be Satanic miracles in front of all to see. Demons have the ability to impersonate spirits of the dead. They will convince the entire world to enact a Sunday observance law. This is the mark of the beast. You have a huge learning curve to overcome before you will understand this. Just remember what I told you. The Sunday laws are coming.
It's just a story bro. Nothing but mythology.

History attests to the resurrection of Christ. Creation attests to a Creator. That's all the evidence anyone needs. Deniers are willingly ignorant.
@ There is NO historical evidence of a resurrection. All we have is second hand anonymous claims. Please read up on how the Bible was created. What creation? You should look up what a tautology is.

Have you seen the pictures of burning Sulfur? It's dark Blue. When Hell afire is depicted it should be dark Blue. Imagine the scene of Babylon, Sodom, and Gomorrah with Blue burning Golf Balls raining down over the Red and Yellow flames of the burning cities. They have found the Sulfur balls in the former locations of those cities. They are 99.7% pure Sulfur. God's judgement is harsh.
What is your view on this belief of 2nd Peter 3:13-14: The J ews believe in a renewed heaven and earth after the destruction of this one, an idea which has no basis in scripture. We know the new heavens and new earth speak of the Kingdom which Christ established and will eventually be delivered up to the Father. Peter here advises all those who read his words to look for that kingdom, for many will seek, and not find it. He advises them to strive in enter in, where righteousness dwells, and that those who are able, may become kings and priests unto God, serving Him in spirit and in truth, and enjoying the fruits of that heavenly kingdom. The direction to look for such things, be found of him in peace and without spot and blameless points to no other opportunity than the daily judgment seat of Christ, wherein all appear, in the courtroom of the heart and mind, where Christ sits and reigns in new earth and where the Spirit of God communes with us, leading and guiding us into all truth. The above statement cannot point to eternal heaven, as the requirement to look and seek such speaks of works, and the possibility of our not being spotless or blameless. Those harsher realities (spotted and guilty) can only take place in this physical world.
I’ll be on my knees in my driveway with my Bible in hand and praying 🙏 that lord won’t forsake me. I will be repenting for my past and present sins and asking for forgiveness. And I will ask him to take me with him. Amen 🙏 ❤
Salvation is found in the bl00d of Jesus Christ alone. Faith alone in that guarantees you everlasting life. There is no need to worry and fear. That is not a spirit of the Lord
Thanks 🙏 Rick. My Brother In Christ Jesus ❤
By no means does the topic of the rapture define dispensationalism. You must look at the bible as if every word is your instruction to be non dispensational. Progressive revelation and right division would be a better description.
If that is so how is he aprese Good pentacostal
Brother…. COME ON. The common fallacious argument of age (argumentum ad antiquitatem) is commonly used by Post Millenials in this topic of debate. However, you’re not even treating this as a debate. You’re literally calling your Dispensational brothers and sisters HERETICS. How about, instead of being at your brother’s throats about differences in Eschatology…let’s focus on the issues that are actually ailing the Church. Labeling Dispensationalism as a heresy is very much a stretch. So, anyone who is Dispensational in their Eschatology is damned to Hell? I’m sorry, but the very same argumentation could be (and is) used against Calvinism. A Soteriology that wasn’t fully fleshed out until the 1600’s. Regardless, I take arguments based on the substance of the argument and not based on its age. (Which is why I’m a Calvinist). Be intellectually honest and recognize that your brothers and sisters are allowed to disagree with you on Tertiary Issues. I hope you’ll rethink this and take this video down. It’s not good for the body, and I think (I hope) you know that.
Just for the record, I didn't say they're heretics, I said dispensationalism was rejected as heresy when Darby began teaching it. It wasn't until the publishing of the Scofield bible that the view began to take root. Also, even if an elect person falls prey to a heresy, that doesn't make them hell bound though the heresy will rob them of much assurance in this life. Paul said, literally, to Timothy. If our faith is overthrown, the foundation of God stands sure having this seal, the Lord knows them that are His. Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, even false teaching. None can pluck us from His hand. But as far as what I said, that's just the simple historic record. Am I not allowed to cite history? I wasn't ranting, I wasn't being unkind, and I wasn't dishonest. We have to be big enough to say and hear the historical facts of the matter without emotional charge. I simply cited the historical record and then listed the reasons why this idea is contrary to scripture. Also, while it's true that sovereign grace wasn't fleshed out and widely held until the Reformation, there were many people and factions who recognized it. The apostles obviously taught it. Augustine taught it. Wycliff taught it. As historian Sylvester Hassel pointed out in his church history (for which he was awarded an honorary doctorate), any time God's people had actual access to the scriptures, the doctrines of grace had a revival. But that was difficult when the Bible was chained to the pulpit by Rome, as it were. As far as focusing on issues that are ailing the church, eschatology is one issue. In fact, both to the Corinthians and to Timothy, Paul wrote correcting issues regarding just that. The eschatology taught by Dispys has important ramifications regarding worldview, politics, foreign affairs, etc. And within dispensationalism, more wars have been fought over pre-trip v post-trip than I could list. So I think the notion that this subject is a waste. Lastly, I'm amil, not postmil, though the same arguments are used, I am sure. Thanks for watching even if you disagreed.
Amen

I wonder if that helps the pre. Tribulation, rapture doctrine, and if that's why they did that in the translation because of their biases
Well, dispensationalism (from which pre-trib rapture comes) wasn't around until the mid 1800s. The KJV was translated in the late 1500s and early 1600s.

Amen! I have long believed that this is how some women can feel 'called' to lead churches. There are spirits that are NOT of God, that are going to try to convince us that they ARE. That's why we CANNOT rely on what we feel 'called' to do, without scriptural backing behind it.

This guy's an idiot.. not just a normal idiot, but a cherry pick even select portions of verses type of idiot. 1.Thess..DOES NOT SAY THAT. 2 THESS. Makes it clear that the Antichrist doesn't even show up until after the Holy Spirit-filled church departs. That's before you skip over Daniel 9 in Isaiah 26 which idiots like this don't even bear witness to but it's in keeping with their idiotic inability to even read one verse correctly much less in context. All throughout the Book of Revelation the church is actually in heaven the whole time during the seals being opened the trumpets being blown and the bowls of Wrath being poured out. Isaiah 26 says the faithful will be protected in their Chambers a little while while God punishes the Earth..what an idiot.
