Great video! Which Meta OS is now one of the very few OSes with native support for what android users call "lunchers" pretty much completely changing the look feel and function of an Osess UI... Which my count is two other OS that have this atleast that are pooular right now... Linix and Android tghis the the 3rd... Also hate to bring it up but Quest is getting everything that the apple pro had as exclusive from the reality dial and windows to even it's "killer" apps like the real time airtracfic viewer... Which is really sad that Apple did their first dedicated XR product so dirty and make it so over powered for the market hardwear wise but limitr it to the most basic XR use cases... It's exactly what they did to the current gen Mac pro and the iPad... Like you would think Apple whould want to make their products as vaulbe to their users as they can but nope they seemly don't think their users need to be able to use their products as they want to only wnat apple wants them too... This has infacted the newest iPhones to now... So yeah apple needs to start trusting their users with their poducts before every product they sell will only be as good as the Apple vision pro... Really sad for the company that had such a lead in net worth not that long ago... Burt I guess Microsoift friendship cuircle which includes meta and trusting their users and devlpers are in fact paying off as much as some people hate that fact....

1 year later, the grainy is there, and no way to read the phone pass-through. All these videos are misleading, as the capture is not what we see. Capture is a separate feature, and is only one camera. PS: Related to the light conditions BS: I am looking at my computer monitor, and my phone screen, and I see that the "improvement" and "light conditions" are just BS...

When you record on meta it uses a 1080 p camera

"it's grainy, it doesn't look like the videos! You can't actually read!" The through the lens look I was able to read the text just fine, and it looked perfectly alright to me. But perhaps this is because I spent years with quest 2's honestly garbage pass through lmao. Really curious to try the quest 3 when mine arrives.

I've just got a 3S. The passthrough quality looks like I'm looking through a phone from 2002. It's so bad I feel like I'll never use mixed reality due to how bad it is.

I’ve been really looking forward to this game. I never really played SIMs type games before, but the mixed reality gameplay looks awesome.

Holy shit I’m not crazy! Mines grainy as all hell but I’ve never owned a vr head set before so I thought this was just normal. I have massive windows in my house and even on a bright day with all the lights turned on I wouldn’t be able to read a book

my pass through quality is SHIIITTTT. and my lighting is certainly brighter then 50 lumens.

What problem told in quest 3will be better in quest 4 and marketing will go on and on.

The question is not how long can I use the pen before I have to charge it. The question is how long does it take to charge.

I have a light in my bedroom that will slightly dim itself, but only the headset can see the changes. When it's full bright, passthrough is like walking into the elephants foot. But when it's dim, it's bearable enough. Definitely think some people should get lower powered lights.

I got one of these last week. I really like it. I set it up like you, with the controllers to the right and the Q3 to the left facing me. I think it looks really minimal and neat. With the headset facing me it also keeps my lenses from accidental sunlight exposure. I have been looking at a few different charging docks and this one works with my maecker minimal knuckle grips which are similar to the meta active grips.

The passthrough feature on my Quest 3 is effective. It allows me to check my phone, converse with people, and manipulate objects. Additionally, I find its mixed reality capabilities to be quite impressive.

What you bought sir was an experience novelty item Like when I was a kid and there were thousands of pointless accessories for the NES that either didn't work right or were so expensive no one can buy them and it wouldn't have mattered because they didn't work right anyways. Good review though man.

I wish they sold the apparel to the general public. I'd buy one of those Batman Arkham Shadow T shirts; they're awesome. They had some cool Oculus T Shirts back in the day, but again couldn't buy em. Like they have the infrastructure to sell em (via the physical Meta store, just make it so we can buy em online and can ship out to other parts of the country).

I just got the compact charging dock. It works great with my knuckle grips. I got some super minimal knuckle grips by Maecker They are a blatant copy of the Meta Active grips but super cheap.
