I seem to be playing this tune a lot during the pandemic. It makes me feel good to play this tune. I feel that I learn to be more empathetic for lonely, hurt, and lost people by sharing this emotion. It's like playing the blues. #guitar #guitarsolo #music #beatles #musicheals #lennonmccartney

Ted Greene - Solo Guitar - Autumn Leaves
Not many people know this, but Ted Greene was a huge influence on Eric Johnson. Eric's sense of chordal chemistry, which is the architecture of all of his work, including his solos (which articulate chords) comes from Ted.
The One, who totally learned the guitar
Ted was a conduit of musical physics of the angelic order.
Su toque con la diestra es muy clásico, se ve que hay una formación académica anterior muy presente.
incredibly beautiful
You can also check out this version by Sylvain Luc, who sadly passed away recently. Actually ted Greene and him both died at age 58 from a heart attack. ... A divine connection? ua-cam.com/video/WfHV7Mb8Bbw/v-deo.html
thank you for sharing. Yes, Memento Mori! The best sometimes leaves us way too early
Great playing. This guy is not into grooving too much is he?
ALGUNOS MUCHOS SE OLVIDAN..PERO YO,,,SIG` VIVO Y ES IMPOSIBLE OLVIDAR,,,LOOOO
This is guitar playing that after 30 years is so far beyond me I have trouble even understanding. Sounds a bit like Stanley Jordan. Amazing stuff. Luv and Peace.
Somebody Transcribe this please...Looks like I am going have to do it. Deep warm singing feel, relaxed swinging groove . Somehow Ted does not hurt my brain like Joe Pass does. I think it because I enjoy it singing / dancing along. Ted's jam feels like a celebration of good time together as oppose to a problematic chess game approach. Love the man and his lessons.
He was the true master of the Telecaster.
Wow...what a fine musician we have here. Chord changes and bass playing all over the neck...come on... the subtle movements here and there...and the searching of what to play next..he has it all and takes me as a listener into his story...he plays like he's riding a bike on a very nice day , no care in the world..and the God of music sitting at the back...saying "we ve got you covered son"...magic!!!
Wow...that is a bit magic happening there...something that lifts the heart of every living soul in that room. Luckily we got it on tape...brilliant sound out of that telecaster!
Just don't get how he pulls those harmonics from the strings and makes them project so well, so fluidly
Can't anyone play the fu**n melody of Autumn Leaves anymore?
Wow ❤
Without a single word, poetry. . . . . . . . .
The KING!!!
Jesus, this guy is incredible. The way he reacted to the audience - so humble, like he doesn't know he's a genius....... RIP. The most musical of guitar players.
Brilliant, got here due to seeing Guthrie's top 10 influences. Been playing for 30 years now and I'm thrilled to have found new people to listen to.
He is figuring it out as he plays. Who does that. Even Tommy Emmanuel says he rehearses a piece and only that piece, until he can play it right, all the time. Ted knows what he wants to play, but has no idea how he is going to get there.
I wonder if Jeff Buckley was a fan
It's so beautiful it hurts
Artificial harmonics WHILE plucking with the pinky.
Magistral
Is that a Deluxe or a Princeton Reverb?
That was so musical. Everything he did was so deeply musical.
All of the stuff he's famous for is there in this. Superb.
I love how his Tele is worn from actual playing wear, as opposed to this dumb relic’d nonsense. The guitar is like his best friend
Looks like it is at Mccabes music store in Santa Monica
praise be, one of the great kings
What sort of tuning did he use?
Beautiful chords and timbre
The world'll never experience a musician like this anymore. Rest in peace Ted, your poetry will live forever
👍👍👍
no hyperbole here. I'm at the realization I would *literally* kill someone to be at this performance
that time of year again Ted there's only one player like you
Beautiful
The people talking at first shut up quick once he got moving .. I don’t think any of them realized what they were seeing … then the magic happened 😁
Great talent. Great video. I know I'm late to the party, but I do have one suggestion. As well as seeing the guitar playing, it's nice to see the face of the person providing it. That way, both expressions are experienced. Thanks. K. 👍
woah!!!
Beautifully played
So great ! You could hear a pin drop, his musicality and tone Hypnotized the audience. R.I.P. Ted . Thanks for the inspiration !!!
Ted's music is like a sedative for a 35 year old guy like me. It'like his chord inversions and harnonics and style, are telling me that everything is still ok. Rest in peace Ted!
Tone unmatched.
And he has the audacity to talk and crack jokes while dominating the guitar with elegant brilliance

SHUT UP Lady! You are in the presence of GREATNESS!
