    lost my dear beautiful mother last month from double pneumonia i feel heartbroken i dont think i will ever be able to live with this pain. i lived with her for 49 years and i lost her at 72 suddenly from what started as a chest infection and quickly developed until she was on a ventilator. I stayed awake holding her hand feeding her for 3 days until she took her last breath holding my hand and with 2 of my sisters there also. I was her baby to the end and i do not know how i can go on and have even prayed ii can somehow be with her. Thanks for your advice i will try some of these things but at the moment i feel totally empty and scared. There was no anticipation of this at all although i cared for mom the last 10 years of her decline in mobility issues from arthritis and some nerve conditions .

    Brotha’s and sista’s- If someone refuses to get tested, that’s a major red flag, and it’s a clear sign to step away from the friendship, relationship, or situationship. Free Game: As men, we should take the lead in ensuring protection within the relationship. Protection isn’t just about keeping her safe physically-like from harm when it comes to walking her to her car-it also means safeguarding her psychologically and emotionally. When she feels safe with you mentally, she’ll open up in ways you’ve never experienced. This video should have million views! Thanks for sharing this valuable content, sis!

      I lost my dad on August 25th and I still can't believe it, i'm also a huge daddy's girl. What is helping me is speaking to him everyday and sending him messages, our dad's are in another place right now, but I strongly believe they're still here with us somehow. I told my dad to come and visit me in the shape of a butterfly, and I can't stop seeing dragonflies around me. This is helping me cope with grief. I'm sending you a big hug Charline!

    I have lost my mom in april 18th 2024. It was unexpected and unfortunate. She was only 52. It seems that it's a bad dream or a nightmare. It is hard for me to live without her. I still can't accept the fact that she is no more. Not a day passes by that I don't think about her. Everything feels so monotonous and pointless. Twice i tried committing suicide . I didn't expected this. She was supposed to be in my wedding and I don't have her now. It feels like someone just stabbed me .

    I pick up my Mothers items tomorrow. Flight to LA later today. Our relationship was very complicated and I feel like had I made different choices she would have been alive. I thought that I was unrealistically calm and maybe that had been a gift by God. Went four days without crying. I’m trying not to time it but the clock restarts. Thinking about living the rest of my life like this feels heavy. And I feel so lonely. But thank you for this video, your voice is very calming.

    Hi there! I have my first residency next year for Capella's master's program in cmhc. As far as I can tell, the group rate for the hotel is $140 a night and you don't even get a mini fridge 🙃 I'm going to have to fly out to the residency already so the price is going to pile up. What do you think about staying at a different motel during the trip? There is one 5 minutes away from the convention center/hotel and I was considering getting an Uber to and from. It would be much cheaper!

    • @FeliciaNacole
      @FeliciaNacole Місяць тому

      @@jenschoice_ hey there! I hope you enjoy your residency experience! Yes you can absolutely stay at another hotel that is nearby. When I completed my residencies there were always a few people that stayed nearby and either walked to the host hotel, rented a car, ubered, etc. Whatever will make you the most comfortable. In hindsight I probably would do exactly that because the rates are a bit pricey for the full amount of time. But I was younger at the time and didn’t mind rooming with other Capella learner to save money so that definitely helped. Sending you positive vibes and let me know if you have any other questions and how your experience goes!

      @jenschoice_ Місяць тому

      @@FeliciaNacole Thank you so much! I know they push staying at the hotel so much so it seemed like I would be the black sheep if I did that lol but that is good to know. I think it would be nice, too, to "escape" a little bit farther from the hustle and bustle of the convention center to recharge outside of sessions. Thanks again 😊

    Hello Falicia. Army reserve medic here wanting to commission into the Ari Force as a nurse. I’m currently a psych nurse. I am wondering if you have any insight on what nursing in the Air Force is like. I noted that you are a tech but being that you are medical and in psych with Army experience. I am wondering if you have any insight. There is very little information out there on psych nursing. And I refuse to just go with the recruiter says… learned that from experience with the Army 😂. Great information btw. Thanks for all you do!!

    UA-cam recommended your first loss of a parent video to me. I watched it and it led me to this video. I recently lost my mother to cancer that she was diagnosed with 5 weeks prior. I'm an only child, just me and my dad. It was so sudden, but at the same time expected, but not in the timeframe which it occurred. We had a great day at home the day before she passed. And then all of the sudden it was "you have hours, at most 24." I realize that I am fortunate, that we had a few hours after the final bad news to be with my mother and converse, play music, and share pictures. Other people aren't so lucky, they lose their loved ones in a sudden accident. We were also spared a long painful journey through treatment that would have ended with the same result. I'm at peace with her death, I'm having the harder time with my loss. I love how you explain that the Five Stages of Grief are not a linear path. I find myself experiencing one or multiple at the same time, and back and forth. You said it perfectly that sometime I'll see something that brings me to tears and sometimes feels like a warm hug. I appreciate the virtual hug, I reached my arms out to receive it lol Thanks for your video, it was brought to me exactly when I needed it

    My dad died and my mom is currently in intensive care, they had a car crash and to be honest, she was very lucky to not have died immediately after the shock. I’m the youngest and my sister is a minor so I probably will go in some sort of center since we’re not very close to anyone else in our family. (we have our reasons) There isn’t much hope left but I can’t help but to have a bit left, my whole life got ruined so quickly, I don’t think I will go through it.

    Hi- what can I expect for the day to day responsibilities for this job? I have bachelors in psych and am looking to enlist in the Airforce. I'm wanting to be a licensed therapist and thought this would be a good foot in the door. Any advice?

    • @FeliciaNacole
      @FeliciaNacole 4 місяці тому

      Hey! It depends on if you get stationed at an inpatient vs outpatient unit (hospital vs clinic). On the inpatient side we worked Panama shifts (12 hrs rotating days/nights). On the outpatient side you typically work M-F (730-430). To me inpatient was more hands on and provided me a lot of opportunities to develop myself in the mental health world. Outpatient was nice too if you plan on going to an in person brick and mortar program for your masters. I got my Masters degree in psych while working inpatient. And actually used a lot of what I learned to develop my curriculum I taught on the unit. Either one I believe you would enjoy because you have the experience in the world of psychology /mental health already. Hope this helps. And best wishes on your journey! 🫶🏾

      I’m so sorry for your loss. May your mother rest in eternal peace. Cry, scream, lay down, do whatever makes you feel somewhat normal in this moment. Take it one moment at a time it’s okay to not be okay. Sending you so much love. ❤️

      Hey yes! Try indeed or your local hospitals website and search for “mental health technician” job postings. Best wishes on your search!
