Congrats on getting through 13 weeks! I would agree that a break is needed. Last year we pushed through 12-13 weeks straight and I remember we were fatigued. This year looks slightly different for us. We are doing the best we can. I’m just so thankful that homeschooling is flexible 😊

Using 3 Sonlight HBL’s has been great, but I was looking forward to the two weeks off we take at Thanksgiving. Last week we traveled to Arizona. This week we are preparing for Thanksgiving and getting ready to decorate for Christmas Friday.

We will be using a Gentle and Classical Christmas. This will be our third year using it 😊 We do it with my sister and her children and it’s always a fun time. We will also be maintaining most of our subjects leading up to Christmas.

Yes, a vacation after vacation lol. I always schedule an extra day or two off to catch up with laundry and recharge.

We started school August 8. The last week of August we drove from Texas to Kentucky to see the Ark Encounter, then to Cincinnati, Ohio to visit friends, then to Springfield, MO to see friends then back home to Texas. After week 14 we will be traveling to Arizona to see family. We will back the week of Thanksgiving. W e will be done with 17 weeks of school when we break for Christmas.

Hi! I’ve also been curious about the Purely Preschool units. I’ll have a 3 year old come December. With my 4 year old, we’re currently working through @seveninall ‘s Alphabet Adventures alongside Sonlight Core P. I too have Preschool Math at Home but haven’t been as diligent with it 😬.

I put myself in a momma time out. Ha! But I also give myself a break every 4 weeks. The kids still do simple math and readers. But other than that, we break. It has been game changing this year.
