I just bought a corvette last week. There was a dealer badge on it, too. They took it to the shop to detail it so I told the salesman to call back there and get that sticker off. I’m not driving a car I pay for with someone else’s name on it. It was returned perfectly clean.

Use braided fishing line for the more difficult emblems.

I was one of a few that protested against these stickers at my dealer I worked at. They shunned me initially, after 6 months of customer complaints they stopped lol.

Seeing anything like this is a walk away moment for me. It is a giant red flag that the dealership does not care about their customers. Absolutely no one wants this.

Anytime I've seen a dealer pull this stunt, I remove the badge. Doesn't matter if it's my wife's minivan or a used car for one of the kids, the stupid badge comes off as well as the license plate bracket. They must be brain dead to do this to a corvette. And don't get me started on pinstriping...

When I bought my first Vette, a C6, they figured to add their decals as I was signing for the vehicle!!! I made them remove it and they scratched it a bit. Seriously; 1) They should know better 2) Have you ever purchased a car at a locale because you saw a dealer logo on a car???

I hate those. I understand your frustration. Also, heat guns can cause paint to bubble if not used carefully. Hair dryer is usually safer.

Dealer badges are free advertising for them. Unless they want to pay me to advertise, the badge goes. Never had a dealer agree to advertise. Lol.

using the hair dryer was the right choice, you can very easily bubble the paint and plastic if your not used to how heat guns works. hair dryer is way safer and works well for this application

That would’ve been removed before I left the lot! Period! I don’t advertise for car dealerships. The fact you had time to sit and sign paperwork means they could have removed the badge while you were there. The dealer plate frame goes the moment I pull into the driveway!

You should have made dealer take that fuckin name tag off your car screw that . That way if they scratch or burn paint they get to paint it for free. Or pay me a monthly rate for the advertisement.

I’m cool with dealership license plate frames and will gladly leave them on, but there’s something that truly pisses me off about any kind of badging dealerships do.

Criswell does really well in selling Corvettes. That's probably how you heard of them in the first place. So negative for being a kiss ass when you wanted a Corvette. Now that you got it "I'll show them what I think about this badge!!!!"🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have always told the dealer if they put the badge they have to pay me for advertising and it will not be cheap

I actually bought my C7 from them, I asked them to remove the badge prior to my arrival and they complied. ( No questions asked)

Unless the dealer is paying me to advertise, everything with their name comes off. I put it in one CarMax contract that if their name is on the car in any fashion, the deal is void.

Dealer did that to my car.. Had to pay to get it removed when I had my vehicle waxed & detailed.. Great video wish I would've seen it earlier I would've taken it off myself.. DEALERSHIPS STOP DOING THAT!! makes the vehicle look like crap not to mention the free advertising!

I make it a stipulation of the sale of the car to remove dealer brand on car, if they want to keep it on they can send me a check each month for advertising, no kidding this is what I tell them. I had the dealer remove theirs from my C7 before driving off the lot. This dealers logo is one of the worst I have ever seen and the placement is the worst.

The guy that put that on should be kicked in the nuts and never be allowed to sell a Vette again. Who in their right mind? We have the same car except our roof is body colour and the wheels are chromed.

The dealer will remove that badge for free. Just ask before you complete your purchase next time. I did and boom.. They want your money : )

Dealers should pay at least .01 % back to loyal customers. We should demand payment for everyday you own the vehicle for the mobile ads.

I never pay for a vehicle or even sign paperwork until they remove that free advertising. I do give them them the option to pay me either monthly or weekly to keep it on there. Of course they just remove it

I would have removed the badge, lit it on fire, and dropped it on the dealership owner's car; seems like that'd be a better place for it.

That dealer badge placement is extra obnoxious because it actually implies that this isn’t a Chevrolet Corvette....it’s a Criswell Corvette. I remember reading about a dealer that got in trouble with the manufacture because they would put their Badge that read Dawson Edition. So on the tailgate of a Raptors is read as Dawson Edition SVT Raptor, and Dawson Edition Shelby GT500. Ford cam down on them real hard cause the dealer was implying that they in some way had a hand in the development of the vehicle. There was even a chevy dealership years and years ago that removed the factory chevy script to put their trash in its place

Thanks a lot for the video. I just bought an 18 Impala from the same turkeys. I inspected the car and picked it up a few days later. They said they were going to "clean off all the stickers and wash it up" All they did was put on that same sticker. As soon as it warms up a little I'll be getting out the hair dryer. I also bought another license plate surround to remove their name from there too! Enjoy your new ride!
