My First Fishing Experience in Bago River, PHILIPPINES!
My First Fish: A Journey of Patience, Learning, and Discovery in the Philippines 🌊
Fishing has always been a part of Filipino heritage, yet I had never caught a fish-until now. Join me as I take on the challenge of catching my first fish in one of the most important coastal wetlands in the Philippines, the Negros Occidental Coastal Wetland Conservation Area (NOCWCA).
In this video, I’ll guide you through:
🛠️ Setting up my fishing gear for the first time.
🌍 Exploring NOCWCA, a Ramsar site of international importance.
🐟 Learning from local anglers and the fishing industry in Bago City.
🌱 Discovering the rich biodiversity of the area, from mangroves to endangered species like the Irrawaddy dolphin and Philippine duck.
🤞 The ups and downs of my fishing journey, leading to my first-ever catch.
This adventure wasn’t just about fishing; it was a chance to connect with nature, learn about conservation efforts, and gain insights into a community deeply tied to the sea. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a beginner like me, this story will inspire you to appreciate the beauty of our wetlands and the importance of preserving them for future generations.
📍 Featured Location: BAGO RIVER
💡 Key Lessons for Beginner Anglers:
1️⃣ Mastering the basics of fishing gear and techniques.
2️⃣ The value of learning from experienced anglers.
3️⃣ Why patience and adaptability are the angler’s greatest tools.
Special thanks to the Society for the Conservation of Philippine Wetlands (SCPW) and Ramsar Regional Center - East Asia (RRC-EA) for their support in promoting the conservation of wetlands.
💬 What’s your most memorable fishing story? Share it in the comments!

For Westerners, resorts must be spotlessly lean and well appointed. This is especially true of the bathroom facilities. Do these resorts fulfill these requirements? Do the bathrooms smell pleasant or do they stink?

Great video, Station Zero if you can afford it, its the best, you have your own private beach, plus if you want more excitement, you take a shuttle to station 2, I would not even bother with the othewr side Bolabog beach, thats where they pump the sewer out at sea and its always usually windy
People claimign ine if the liveliest cities But video after video its all about dostrict 1 which you can see in a day And the same night life street which is nithing but authentic

This vid neglects showing nearby attractions and top restos to each resort. Methinks this is a paid ad video😢😅
Budol. Clickbait lang.
You don't talk about the (quality of the) beaches close to the resorts! That would be the most important feature of any stay, imo 🙌😁
❤️❤️👍
Great review, going there in January as an escape from Manila 🇵🇭🌆
I hit the subscribe button mainly because you're featuring Davao. Thank you for showcasing our beautiful place. I absolutely love your vlog! You've covered almost all the must-see spots in Davao, and I really appreciate it. Keep up the fantastic work!

Love Costabella resort. I stayed there last holiday and their brealfast are delicous also service is amazing. Most importantly, their private beach is beautiful and much better than any other resorts in Mactan. I highly Costabella for single family and couple's retreat however, for large fam(4-6 prople), might not the best resort but not worst either. Currently been staying at Plantation Bay due their lagoon pools but as mentioned, costabella has the best private beach😅
