I cried at age 10 after telling my mother that Elvis had died she was at work and she started crying . I went to the store and his music was playing on the radio In the store and there were grown men and women crying right there . Now I’m 56 yrs old watching this brings back so many memories and I’m crying again just like I did at 10 . The tears are real Thank you Elvis for your Music , all these years later your still loved and missed. The tears say it all ! TCB forever

My parents and I were traveling through Tennessee, and on the 18th of August we were going through Memphis. His music was playing on just about every radio station. There was a feeling of sadness everywhere. We stayed at a camp ground outside of Memphis that evening, it was then that I first heard American Trilogy. I was amazed and truly moved. "ELVIS 2ND TO NONE"

August 1977 was a month that a lot of people won’t forget but especially my family won’t forget, Elvis died on the 16th and was buried on the 18th, my dad’s dad and my grandpa died just one week after Elvis on the 23rd and he was buried just one week after Elvis too on the 25th and my mom was at the funeral home for my grandpa when her water broke and I was born at dinner time on the 25th. I watch these videos and they’re very touching to me and personal almost. And then I realize I’m old 😮 My parents named me after my grandpa.

I was born in December 1970 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis and I was truly born an Elvis fan. Its u real i know but n9 one played Elvis records I heard from birth, it waa in my blood, in my genetics. And will be till i take my last breath.

Don’t let Priscilla movie coming out, get you down about the man. He was still a good man. But this movie will show his dark , flawed side. And in a way it should be shown, that he was a human being like all of us, yes he could be a jerk at times to everyone, not just Priscilla. He himself never intended to put himse on a pedestal, he just thought he had a good voice and could make a decent living. He had no idea his star would reach this peak. And it’s better to hear from Priscilla then other sleazy filmmakers. She did make a tv movie years ago. But I think revival of Elvis , she wanted these fans to remember he was just a human being. Priscilla didn’t do this to denigrate Elvis, even he would want the people to know this. If fans still see him as a great superstar, that’s great , at least they know he was just a man. Not King or Christ. I personally think , park of dark side , was pressured he was under with fame, an image people saw of him. His movies he was unhappy with. Then the draining tours, having to many yes men around, beautiful women all the time. Temptations. His pill addiction changed his mood, physical health. Not excusing some of his behaviour. But fame does put a lot of pressure on a person, and it often hurts others , loved ones like Priscilla. Before she leaves this earth I think she wants to set the reality straight. She said all her life in interviews , herself that Elvis was a human being not a God. If Fans that go, and maybe they should, it will be painful to watch, because it’s not a nice side of Elvis. It was painful for Priscilla to watch. But she feels it’s necessary to get the negative side out of the way. And if fans still loyal. They are true fans and forgive this man. We can’t criticize Priscilla too much, because she llived it, and she approved of the Protrayal. But the actors better be good. Im glad getting the dark side out of the way. 46!years of negative thoughts on Elvis, some exaggerated truths, some BS. Dozens of books written on him, some good and sincere some trash.,This is Priscilla s turn, I’m kind of glad she’s doing this now, I didn’t like at first, too soon after Lisa, s death, success of Elvis movie. But I realized she’s 77 years old, she’s facing her death one day. This is what she wants people to know. You can still love admire, and maybe forgive, that’s important too, but just re he was just a man. Not a King. As long as people know he was just a flawed man, and most Kings are anyway, it’s ok to see him as that if they so choose. We see other artists today, their good and bad all the time. I pray fans will not change their views on Elvis, because he did do a lot of good for others on earth. I focus on that. I don’t dwell on dark side, though I believe he wasn’t perfect. But I think after this movie comes out, it’s time to remember Elvis as a great talent in his own right, though other artists more talented. But he had a chrismatic aura for some reason no one else had. It’s time to enjoy his talent now. Not his private life. He’d want to be remembered as a good entertainer, which he was, he never said he was better then anyone else, like the egotistical artists today. The only man closest to Elvis aura today is Mick Jagger. Not just for band band longevity, but he was charismatic, energetic, nd sexy too. Still is at 80. I watch this video all the time. I went to Graceland this year, Elvis Week. On the 16th , o was at that famous wall, and thought about that tragic, shocking day, it was a beautiful sunny day too. I could picture ambulance coming down that beautiful driveway. The shock and grief of the people. It truly was a historic day for fans, but it was also the dead of a son, and father, a man.

This song always brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. My father about 2 weeks before he died said that he wanted Elvis singing "My Way" at his funeral. Then two weeks later he died 20 years to the day Elvis died. My father died on August 16th 1997. Now every time I hear this song and My Way played back to back I always start crying.
