Good for you. I tried digital many years ago but it didn't do it for me. Still using my F2AS that I bought 42 years ago.

7:51 they kinda had to design the viewfinder that way because of it's two functions... 1) it automatically adjusts for parallax when you're focused close or far on an object (it adjusts the framing to show you exactly what you're shooting). and 2) it needs to zoom in and out when you switch lenses to give you the correct framing for that lens. Instead of something like Leica that just has frame lines all in the same window. So, it's doing a lot. Not surprising it's a bit on the small side.

why so much headroom?

I always was a film shooter. Started with a Leica M3 then a Nikon F2. But the prices of film for me, optical prints, premium scans, flash drives, cost of film and shipping set me back over $100 a roll! I always wanted a Leica so capitalizing on the rising cost of film I got a Leica MD 262! The digital camera that shoots like film with no screen. Turns out I never thought a digital camera would impress me so much. Now I`m multi-format and love both...!

At first I planned to get f3 ie fg. But i have bad experience with my other cloth shutter cam. Fg and fm2n use metal shutter.

Take all the paper off of the new roll of film before loading it into the camera my brother it can interfere with your camera.
