Dutch Army Tent First Look
Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel! Today, I've got something really exciting to share with you. I just received a Dutch Army Tent from Goarmy.co.uk, and I can't wait to show you my first impressions of this fantastic piece of camping gear. I have no links to this company, this is just my honest first impression , as the title says.
So, let's dive right in. First off, I have to say, I was incredibly lucky with this purchase. The tent arrived looking like new, and honestly, it exceeded all my expectations right out of the box. As soon as the postman delivered it, I could see it was excellent quality.
Let's talk about the components. The tent comes with 10 sturdy pegs and four hollow steel poles. Each pole double section made of two parts when joined together measures 46 inches in length, and has a diameter of 3/4 of an inch. These poles are robust and provide excellent support, ensuring the tent stays upright and stable even in windy conditions.
The storage bag is another highlight. It's compact and durable, making it easy to transport and store the tent when not in use. The canvas of the tent itself is top-notch. It's thick, durable, and feels like it can withstand a lot of wear and tear. Given that it looks almost new, it's clear that these tents are built to last.
Setting up the tent was a breeze. It took me just 3 minutes to get it fully assembled on my balcony. This is perfect for those who don't want to spend a lot of time fussing with complicated setups. Plus, airing out the canvas in the sun was easy, although to be honest, it didn't really need it. The tent was already in great condition, which speaks volumes about the quality of the product from Goarmy.co.uk here in the UK.
Now, I want to talk about some tips and additional gear that can enhance your camping experience with this tent. If you're expecting rain, you can cover the tent with a 7 ft x 8 ft British Army Basha. This will provide extra protection and keep you dry no matter the weather. Just remember to use poles longer than four feet to ensure proper coverage over the Dutch Army tent.
Camping under canvas is such a nostalgic experience for me. I used my dad's canvas army tent when I was 18, and I loved every minute of it. There's something special about the smell and feel of canvas that modern synthetic tents just can't replicate.
For those of you considering a new tent purchase, I highly recommend the Dutch Army Tent from Goarmy. It's fantastic value for money, and I have no doubt these tents will get snapped up quickly here in the UK. Whether you're a seasoned camper or just starting out, this tent is a great investment. I have no ties with this company but if they give a good service then I like to tell you.
So, that's my first impression of the Dutch Army Tent from Goarmy. I hope you found this video helpful. If you did, please give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing for more camping gear reviews and outdoor adventures. Thanks for watching, and happy camping!

Couple of "head up" ideas. If its wet and windy, set the tent up with the foot end towards the wind. The zips that run along the bottom of the doors, the is a small hole behind them at the ends. Do not be tempted to tuck the ends of the zips in. they are designed to stay out and help cover the hole. Info I got from the Dutch military direct. 👍
@frogmaster83…. I just ordered one of these tents yesterday, so I am very pleased to find your advice here. I’ve seen a lot of comments on other reviews knocking the gaps in the zipper line and corners. But all those are from non-military users. I figure if this tent was good enough to shelter the Dutch army, it’s good enough for Joe Consumer. We just have to learn how to care for and use it properly. Thanks again for your comment. Cheers from Indiana, USA.
Looks like you have yourself s great tent in fantastic condition. Mine isn't in anywhere near as good condition 👍👍
Yes, I feel I was lucky, Goarmy had good reviews and I would guess they buy in bulk so the chances were higher of a better quality. It also had the more desirable thinner steel poles
You should cut a hole into the cowl area and put the filter in there to grab cool air from outside the engine bay
Great explanation.
Funny to me that I had no idea they existed 5 year ago.
Guitarras Sol! de que País son esa maraca de Guitarras?
this is so cool i love this engine its so cool
Une jolie proposition musicale ! Bravo 👍
Can we use a used one.
Can you make a video of how you made it?
I just brought drain pipe from Screwfix, Euro clamps from Srewfix and some glue. Tape off EBay.
Good job
Thanks ..I'm putting up one in May
All those practice locks are a piece of piss to crack, they're specially made for the needs of the highly gullible...
try to find a old pre 90' karcher unit ....in working condition...lt's a real tank inside. very tough.
The motor is water cooled, if it froze that could have damaged it.
I have a Discovery TD5 and I replaced the XYZ, but the problem still persists, such that if the car slows down, it switches to a stronger gear, which leads to the car slowing down significantly.
hi does you car get hot inside especially when you touch the hand brake
There is a bit of an increase, but sometimes it works down to m. s D The one on the screen also pulsates and I replaced it with a user, but the same problem. The changes are not normal and sometimes it does not work now after I raise the RPM to 3000.
The symptoms are as follows: At first the first gear slows down, then it changes between gears normally, and if I want to slow down the speed to 40 km, it returns to a strong gear and it becomes difficult to walk unless I increase the RPM.
I cracked the red head on the computer, there is no oil, I cleaned all the plugs, and I changed the xyz switch twice, but I did not find a solution. I hope to find a solution with you.
Wonderful, my friend
How can I buy a same screen
Hello
So what is going on , seems like if you charge it up by rubbing , you activate its effect
Yes, that is correct. The rock or iron stone is like a layer cake, each layer has the magnetic poles the opposite way round and when the stone is cold nothing much happens . When you warm the iron stone in your hand it activates all the layers at once and they cause the stone to search for north or south. Just holding it in a clenched fist for 5 to 7 seconds works really well. It works on wooden laminate floors as well. They are sold as singing stones or magnets and you are advised to throw them in the air while apart so they bash together.? What tosh. They are very brittle stones by the way.
@@Dutcharmytent to throw them correctly like a boomerang needs to be thrown a certain way . If you had sand or water so they don't break so easily . Very interesting, thanks for explanation
I’ve spent about a day reading all sorts but not this, checked mine tonight and it was covered in oil, issue fixed, massive thanks!
Best news I could ever have had.
I’m a beginner. I play my acoustic for about 3 hours a week, I spend more time with my strat but anyway, a set of strings are dead and crusty feeling after about a month and need a change. I’ve been using elixir strings the past year but I just picked up a set of earthwood extra light’s to try out.
Never seen that before. Mine leaked from bottom, left in shed over winter, froze and cracked. These units not as good as they were. Repaired it a few times now but I have it years and used it for work also. So had my monies worth. If you see one in a skip, rescue it for spare parts. Karcher charge a fortune for washers and clips. So major parts very expensive.
❤
Good video. Thx.
Why in the hell would it be welded if ot has 4wd???
Nice and quick:) gj!
So I've only used this pressure washer one time. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP The one time I used it, it worked great. I recently had new siding installed but kept the old gutters and small areas surrounding my house that weren't replaced so they looked horrible and dirty because of the new siding. I needed to get it cleaned asap. When I used the pressure washer, man it just melted all the dirt and grime that was on those areas of my house. I used that krud kutter soap and it was over after that. Easy to assemble, feels durable, very simple to use. Also, I purchased a used one to save money and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I want to get more use out of it so I think I'll be washing the cars and update this comment as time goes on.
Can one 30'' and one 28'' luggage fit?
Yes , both fit.
That is me!!!! Thanks for letting me know to read the instructions first....Great Video. The only thing missing is my wife laughing at me. 🤣🤣😂
I know it was many years ago now and you probably won't read this but I have to say that was impressive to watch. I'm going to have to try it for myself but with a four man tunnel tent. Peace
Ogni volta che provo corde diverse dalle Hannabach mi pento amaramente !!!
that's so cool. Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
What about another key on other side??? You still can do it????
Yes you are correct. Just posted a second video showing both locks being done as you say , its called "EURO locks picked in seconds beginners guide".
What in the world did I just watch
What type of string?
PЯӨMӨƧM 😔
I heard that even some of the earlier Disco 2s apparently were built with a diff lock even though it was inoperable. I gues because although Landrover thought it was no longer needed due to their new electronic traction control system, it was cheaper to still buils them with the diff lock in plkace than to redisgn and re configure the gearbox. So how can you tell if your Disco 2 has a diff lock that is not connected? Any idea?
They look smooth and sound… smooth
This is a great video & I thank you For your efforts; however, it would have helped me more, if it included video of the hardware structure on your Jeep for your strap set-up, the straps used, and video of lashing the kayak to the rack - that actual task being completed Being a woman who is only 5ft 4in tall w zero experience securing things on a car rack, I know I would need a step ladder, and to see exactly how to do that properly or I will be panicking that it's going to fly off of my car when driving down the road! It would be my luck! If anyone knows of good video w that kind of instruction please post the link, here, for me. Thanks again to all!
My hood latch was stuck. These pictures helped me see more clearly where I needed to press to release the latch. I then lubricated the cable with WD-40 and reassembled the latch. Seems that all is well now.
Very good demo there 👍. It’s easy to do on your own if you know how, and follow a few basic common sense methods. I’ve helped countless people on campsites struggling with smaller tents, I am always happy to lend a hand if I see someone in a pickle. I also love Woodyhyde, one of my faves 🙂. The only thing I will say though, it’s always better to leave all zips done up until all anchor and guy points are pegged out as sometimes you find the zips won’t meet. Happy camping 🙂👍
I've had this fault 3 times on my K4, totally unimpressed with this machine. Repairer has told me its a common fault and occurs when there is a frost and the water left inside the machine freezes and breaks the seals! Never buying Karcher again!!! Can anyone recommend another decent brand?
Discharge the water after use. This will never happen again.
This was very helpful. My pegs were pulling out on a bass I was re-stringing. I tried a 45 degree angle on the bottom of the pegs, but your idea works regardless of bridge plate thickness. Thank you!
What is the ball thing on top the kayak rested on when putting up there
It is a boat fender. Like a inflated sausage type..They hang down the gun whales of a boat to protect it.
Very amusing but helpful.
Sir is D 4th string silver coated??
Nylon Strings are made of Nylon and not coated in silver. Because silver is a metal. Hope this helps you.
Sir I know but sometime silver coated and nylon string is written on strings cover
I thought upper three base strings are silver
I’ve had a k2 for ten years with no problems until I dropped it and then a k4 6 months which is chugging and pouring out water just like this video.
Pretty unfair comparising, the Yamaha is €500 euro's cheaper and has crap strings on it, Yamaha makes great guitars, this doesn't do them justice
Wish if you could fix one for me
