I wonder if there is a point where you can have so many flak the area of effect becomes so overwhelming that it just wipes planes instantly? its not unusually to see mass T3 sams in longer games so I wonder if its actually better to Mass Flak?

Some more keyboard shortcuts would help your APM. EG G to upgrade mexes. Spacebar to toggle pause on and off.

It is just fun and kind of supporting, to see someone else struggle with the same thing I struggle with by myself. The end result does not really matter, as a win propably would have been a struggle as well. Please keep on!

More radar and before you start your gun, ensure you have energy storage. I do at least 1 maybe 2 before I even start gun. Last thing you want is for your radar to go down and you can't see units coming.

You assumed you needed to distance build to that eastern plateau, but as you can see at 4:30, there was a small path between the cliff and the mountain. Would knowing that have changed your early game?

Yes! My favorite videos of yours were you ladder matches. It can be so hard to find actual gameplay of this game from player perspective that’s not a super high rated player that moves to fast to enjoy watching

I dont play ladder but ive been a big fan of setting patrol waypoints from factories, especially on the factory producing reclaim engi's & or inties/scouts.

Think of regen aura as damage reduction during a fight. It can't outpace the dps but it reduces it by it's regen value. For example if ship takes 100 dps and healing aura gives it 50 hps, it effectively halved incoming damage or doubled the hp value of the ship.

Submerging his destroyers when they were low health so they could regen while staying in position was also a good move.

When i played starcraft and it got to late game i couldnt keep up with the ol' warp ins. I would have a couple of gates closed and just right click units to keep pumping them. Maybe spare factories wont give more production but will save macro when you need to be looking elsewhere? Still waiting on that strategic launch team up too. You both sound busy but were a good team that could be brilliant with casting xp together.

Wait let me cook: On a 20x20 navy map, pick Seraphim and ask for a t1 UEF engi early. Play defensive, get reclaim, and use UEF navy until you can eventually get t3 UEF engineers/navy. Work toward RAS sacu's (upgrade a few with the UEF bubble shield). Use t3 UEF navy with a build order of 1 summit and 2 shield boats on repeat. Use the the RAS sacu to spam endless amounts of t4 Atlantis. When you finally push out, bring your fully upgraded Sera ACU (dual nano, dual resto, dual RAS), and the UEF bubble shield sacu. Your army will be an impenetrable wall of summits, shield boats & Atlantis (with 48k hp and 240 regen) making them invulnerable. Also you wont be scared of torp bomber snipes since you will have so many shield boats, the best AA, best torps, and even if everything else fails, the underwater 50k bubble shield sacu will protect your like 35k hp com from everything except a nuke.🤣

i wonder if the entire world military could take out a single commander if they knew it was a threat. Com could start out underwater and do edge builds until it gets up an anti-nuke i guess. I dunno

the other thing to consider with auroras is they are by far the worst anti gun com and anti T2

I did my own testing. Here are some of my notable results. Ranking of 1v1's: 1. Aurora with micro 2. Mantis 3. Striker 4. Thaam 5. Aurora without micro Comment: Your results were unreproducible under symmetrical conditions. Rudimentary analysis from your video; one side will often be stationary while the other side has a move order into the vicinity of the stationary unit, sometimes at an angle. This yields inconsistent results depending on the stationary or mobile unit. In some niche cases you must factor in initial turret rotation as that can affect the outcome. Viability of T1 tanks to kill a commander without and with gun upgrades. Cybran UEF Sera Aeon W/gun Gun W/gun Gun W/gun Gun W/gun Gun Thaam 8 4700 5 6450 9 4200 7 5550 Aurora 20 5600 20 9900 20 5750 20 6450 Striker 7 5100 3 6650 8 3900 7 5800 Mantis 9 4800 7 5950 10 4300 9 5600 Comment: W/gun column is tanks remaining. Gun column is HP on COM remaining. Uncertainty of <=50HP. Tests were conducted with standardised distances, angles of attack, and unit arrangement before attack command was given onto a stationary COM. Some very obvious trends emerged. Efficacy of rushing T1 PD (with 8 walls ring): Each test used 20 tanks. Tanks remaining were 14-16. No statistical pattern emerged between the factions. Likely because tests used excessive amounts of tanks and thus test sensitivity was low.

For the bonus points, I'm pretty sure the Scathis is the slowest unit in the game. The intro music kinda clashes with the other music, because you have both tracks playing at once.

I love your science videos! It may be difficult to test, but I wonder if it would be possible to do a standard unit composition test roughly equalized mass for mass. Im thinking of something like each factions main battle group head to head. For example: (1 colossus, several harbs, a few sniper bots some t2 shields and flak) vs (fatty, percivals, titans, t2 shields, flak) vs (1 mega, bricks, loyalists, stealth gens, flak) vs (1 chicken, sera t3 tank, sniper bots, t3 shields, flak).

One other thing to note is even if there is god tier micro on the t1 army for Aeon the additional burden it causes can be exploited by just constant shenanigans. best completed by ninja mantis. So high level V high level it winds up being a means of pushing an advantage but it can not buy you one on its own.
